Ruedi Shores is a quiet, peaceful neighborhood, 15 beautiful miles above the town of Basalt, along the Frying Pan River. Whether you are spending time on the deck of our log home or going for a walk around the neighborhood, you will enjoy the beautiful pine and aspen trees, as well as the mountain and reservoir views. Gold Medal fishing year -round in the Frying Pan River and hundreds of hiking opportunities await, as well as biking, skiing, and show shoeing. Ruedi Reservoir is a 3 minute drive away, and is great for swimming, paddle-boarding, kayaking, and boating.
Historic downtown Basalt has great restaurants, bars, and shops, and 5 minutes further are grocery stores (Whole Foods and City Market), a movie theater, and all other conveniences you might need.

You will need a car to get around, as there is no Uber or Lyft in the area and the drive from the airport is 45 minutes. It is VERY important to know (especially if you are renting a car) that a 4-wheel drive, all wheel drive, and/or possibly chains are required for this location during the winter season. There is no signal for most of the drive from the town of Basalt to the house, so it is important to have your directions downloaded or printed out. Take it slow as you drive along the beautiful Frying Pan - enjoy the scenery, be mindful of wildlife, and be careful of the twists and turns along the river. That being said, every minute of the drive is breathtaking!
At the house, you will have access to the garage if you would like - there is space for one vehicle. You can also park in the driveway which has plenty of space for cars.
