Quiet in Jotunheimen's front yard, approx. 20 min from Beitostølen and approx. 25 min from Fagernes. The cabin is close to the village and at the same time a short distance to the high mountains. Here you are in the middle of nature with great hiking opportunities in both summer and winter. There are countless hiking opportunities in the area, both on footpaths and bridleways. The paths are well marked in a varied and kind mountain landscape. In winter, you can cross-country ski for a total of 180 km with slopes that stretch from Beitostølen in the west to Danebu in the east in slightly hilly terrain through pleasant low mountains. The nearest alpine ski resort is Beitostølen, which is half an hour's drive from the cottage village. If that hill doesn't offer enough challenges, you can visit Raudalen, which is about 30 minutes' drive from Beitostølen. At Yddin there is an open cafe during the winter season. In Heggenes, about 10 minutes by car, you have a good grocery store and a great swimming area by the Heggefjord in the summer. The Valdresekspressen also stops here.
