Boasting spectacular views out to Morecambe Bay and the distant Pennines, this beautiful ground-floor apartment is perfect as a romantic retreat or for family holidays. Located in the pretty coastal town of Grange-over-Sands, it is a super base for keen walkers and cyclists. Sleeping four people, one canine is also welcome, meaning the whole family can enjoy a well-earned break. This gorgeous hideaway is part of a Regency-style villa and oozes charm and character. Sumptuous furnishings and decor create an airy yet homely cottage. French doors lead into the attractive kitchen/diner, which is a sociable space and great for entertaining. The additional snug area provides comfortable seating so guests can relax in front of the open fire while the cooks are in action. The central hall leads down into the spacious lounge which has a stylish feel, with an ornate plaster ceiling and timber floor. Snuggle up on the sofas and enjoy the warmth of the wood burner as you unwind at the end of the day. The oak table in this area is also a lovely space for more formal family meals. The two pretty, king-size bedrooms will be an inviting sight when it’s time to rest, with the master benefiting from a glazed door onto the veranda and lawn. Take a seat out here and soak up those impressive views as you enjoy your morning coffee. The local pub is within walking distance, while Grange’s famous promenade is great for a stroll. The dog will love exploring the many walks to be found, including Hampsfield Fell, which looks over the town. Foodies should head to Cartmel (1.5 miles), home of the sticky toffee pudding, where there are many great pubs and restaurants. Lake Windermere is 12.5 miles away, where you can hike, cycle or hire a boat.
