Whale Spray has an amazing expansive deck 180 degree majestic sea view 4 bedrooms sleeping 8 (3 of the 4 bedrooms have magnificent sea views) spacious and comfortable. main-ensuite (bath + shower) 2nd bathroom (shower) open plan fully fitted kitchen Self Catering Braai facilities Perfectly situated - walking distance to beaches, river, restaurants and shops Pet friendly Private 1 x remote garage and 1 covered parking Quiet neighbourhood Free wi-fi Smart tv with netflix The open plan lounge and fitted kitchen lead onto the deck which overlooks the Indian Ocean. Three of the 4 bedrooms boast ocean views. The house has 2 floors. Whale Spray is the top floor which is accessed on level ground so it does not require any stair climbing. The house is very private having the entire floor to yourselves. There is a 2 bedroomed flat below the building called Dolphin Leap which could possibly be occupied by guests as well. Only the garage is shared. Both floors have their own entrances.

Friendly host and neat accommodation. Spacious living room and great view of the ocean.
We had a wonderful 3 days! The sea views are spectacular and hearing the ocean while sleeping at night was amazing. The house had everything we needed with the added bonus of Netflix for a rainy day. Beds were clean warm and comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom were spotless with every kitchen utensil you could possibly ask for. Wendy was great! We’d choose here again if we’re ever back in East London
Great location and walking distance to beach and restaurants. Views are stunning, clean and neat home, and a very warm welcome from the hosts! We stayed over here en route to Transkei and would recommend. Uber was easy to get to the mall.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Whalespray Residence in Gonubie and it was truly an exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived, the owners welcomed us with open arms and were incredibly responsive to all our needs throughout our stay. What truly stood out to me was the kindness and compassion shown by the hosts during a challenging situation. One evening, my brother went missing, and we were frantic not knowing his whereabouts. The host went above and beyond to assist us in finding him, offering support, guidance, and even reaching out to their neighbors for help. The community spirit and willingness to help were truly heartwarming. Thanks to the host and the supportive neighbors, we were able to locate my brother safe and sound. Their genuine care and assistance during our time of need left a lasting impression on me, and I will forever be grateful for their kindness.The Whalespray Residence in will be my go too moving forward.
Wonderful two night stay at Whalespray! The amenities were great, beds and linens clean and comfy, and Wendy was a terrific host — responsive, friendly, flexible with check in and out times, made great restaurant recommendations etc. All in all, we had a wonderful experience!
