This town is truly a Gem. Great hiking, great people, great food!!! (Try Snaglegasters!) Shawn's place is perfectly situated. We walked everywhere. (Most walking is uphill). There is a great venue for live entertaining a couple blocks away (The Barn). The accommodations were cozy and CLEAN yet in need of updating and decluttering. Shawn and Nancy were kind enough to allow my small older dog to stay with us for the 2 days.
We really enjoyed our stay in Harper's Ferry. Shawn's place was nice and cozy. The location was great, within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go in the area. We enjoyed sitting on the swing in the backyard and watching the birds. We appreciated all the local brochures and guides Shawn provided. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!
The location is perfect, so close to town yet away from the hustle bustle! The perfect spot for my daughter and I to chill out and enjoy some time to catch up. The loft stairs are steep, be prepared for that, and you cannot stand up completely in the loft, but what a cozy spot! After changing to internet only at our house it was a treat to have cable :) We would love to return, we had unfortunate news on our last day and had to rush home, so subsequently had to cancel our next reservation (we booked two weekends for two separate groups of people). Shawn is everything you want in a host, respectful of privacy, responsive, and friendly.
This place is so cute and it was such a fun stay! My college friends and I went here for a girls trip in January and it was the perfect get away. The host was super friendly and responsive. They provided breakfast and put effort in giving great recommendations. Although it’s a small town, we felt like we had a lot to do based on those recommendations. The surroundings were beautiful and the place was so cozy. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a cute and cozy get away!

These days I'm always working at a tech startup and working from home in another tech field. I call it "work", but really it's a kind of service and a labor of love. It's all grown from a long-time passion for service and research. The teams work in areas of local economy, small businesses, tourism, fintech, and distributed ledger. We're lucky to have gotten in early with new advancements in eCommerce; ask me about it! :) For me, my interests primarily are in technology, humanity, faith, culture, and science. Service, I think, is an essential key to unlocking health and happiness in life. Currently, I am working on research and development projects, as well as working from home in high tech areas. I love the outdoors, gardening, nature, film, food, and friendly folk. Travels have taken me far and here I am returning to a place called home. We're a family operated bnb, licensed, and we love supporting local. Nancy is my mother who enjoys helping and talking with guests. She lives in North Carolina and is readily available by chat or telephone! Come enjoy the sweet air, bird songs, cicada melodies, starry nights, and living history.
