You will want a car for getting around, but there is lots of great roads for walking and biking.
The Rush Point store is a few miles to the West and it is SO charming and worth a stop! It offers light groceries, clothes, liquor, gas, lotto, bait and more!
There is also two bar/restaurants, on the lake, and nearby via road; Flickabirds- rustic, north woods charm, excellent pizza, a full menu, cocktails, breakfast and pull tabs!
The Grumpy Minnow is located across the bay and has excellent, from scratch, food, cocktails, pull tabs and a summery beachy decor. The walleye sandwich is a must!
Rush City is a ten minute drive to the east and Cambridge is a ten minute drive to the south. They both have restaurants and Cambridge has a Cub Foods, Target, Kohls, Walmart, Menards, etc, etc....

There is parking in the driveway and along the street if needed. You will definitely want a car for getting around, but bring your snowmobiles, utvs, bikes, snowshoes, cross-country skis, etc!
