Welcome to Mother Moon. A colorful, spacious 'Thunderbird' A-Frame cabin . A cheerful, healing space for families and small groups. At 2.2K sq ft, this spacious cabin offers both joyful gathering spaces, cosy corners for quiet time, music and writing areas for conjuring creativity, along with luxury bathrooms and whimsical, peaceful bedrooms. Despite a short 9 min drive to the village and lake, this property was chosen for its quiet, secluded feeling and sweeping, unobstructed forest views. A color-filled, uniquely decorated home with luxurious spa-like bathrooms and gentle direct sunlight that lingers upstairs for hours. The treetop views, huge windows, and joyful decor will stir creativity and sooth your soul. Surrounded by pine and oak trees, seen through huge windows throughout the home, you'll enjoy a feeling of seclusion - while also being close to hikes, the lake, Santa’s Village at Sky Park, grocery stores, restaurants. The upstairs bedroom (with the foliage wallpaper) is across the hall from the blue and green check bathroom (with a clawfoot tub!), and both downstairs bedrooms have a ensuite full bathrooms. A fantastic work from home space, with super fast WiFi, and a music area (piano, guitars and percussion) including a kitchenette and spectacular views of the trees, birds and sky is the perfect spot for songwriting or workshopping a writing project. Are we the only cabin in Arrowhead with TWO Baldwin upright pianos? Probably! It doesn't get more cozy than sitting by the wood-burning stove with a cup of coffee, gazing out at the snow falling on the pines. The easily accessed flat driveway for level entry parking is priceless - especially in snowy conditions! You will be praising the heavens for no icy stairs! We are a 9 minute drive to SkyPark and 10 minutes to the famous LouEddies pizza. Two of our personal favorites in town!

The English language simply isn't well-equipped enough to handle a description of this stunning, thoughtfully-appointed, whimsical, colorful, clean, spacious, beautifully-designed abode!!!!!!!!!!!! EVERY CORNER of this house has a well-thought out story, every room has delights for the eye and spirit. The bathrooms are beyond any hotel I've ever stayed in - beautiful, deep bath overlooking the forest ? Check. Green-tiled rainshower in an actual plant forest? CHECK!!!! Claw-foot tub of dreams? Yes. Every linen, every towel, every blanket is special, not to mention the array of charming paintings and art that outfit the entire place. Great for a solo stay, amazing for families. Cannot say enough wonderful things about this place - I wish it were MY HOME!!! Best Airbnb stay I've ever had, no hyperbole (and I've stayed in houseboats in Copenhagen!)!!!! How lucky I am to have experienced the colorful, whimsical character of this special house.

This is one of the top places I have stayed at. Unique and everything that you can possibly need is there. Perfect place to stay with kids. Lara was so sweet and responsive when I needed her, when I had a scary situation unrelated to the air bnb with my 3 year old, her words were comforting and I could tell she is just a great person. We will be back in the future. Thank you!
Lara’s home was an absolute delight from the minute we entered. I was there for my birthday with friends & had my husband & son come for the last day. She had a fully stocked kitchen w/ small appliances, beautiful dishware, tea sets, cake stand, spices, teas! We cooked all meals there! The fireplace was wonderful, bathrooms were amazing, comfortable beds, best bath I’ve ever had, with a gorgeous view of the trees. It was such a wonderful surprise to find a multipurpose room downstairs, perfect for yoga with floor to ceiling windows of the tree. The family room was so cozy, with a wonderful assortment of books and the play area is so sweet. Lara was a wonderful host, so responsive and generous with our stay. She left a sweet care package of wine & snacks and let us use her firewood for the fireplace. Her design of this home was so thoughtfully done it felt like a boutique hotel and the coziest cottage rolled into one! By the end it felt like leaving home. I will definite be back!

Mother Moon is in a quiet and private neighborhood, dense with stunning pines and oaks. The backyard looks out only to trees, the golf course and the mountains. We chose this home for it's secluded feeling, despite being in a friendly residential street. We are close (5 min drive) to the Blue Jay grocery stores and restaurants, and an 11 minute drive to Lake Arrowhead Village.

Hello, I'm a composer & artist, originally from Australia. I spent my 20's and 30’s touring the world, and loved to go to Museums and libraries in whichever city I was briefly visiting. It's wonderful to have settled in beautiful LA, and have a mountain cabin escape from the city. I'm so proud of the cozy place my husband Eric and I have created. I love helping people create golden memories in our home that they hold in their hearts forever!
