the bedroom and ensuite were very comfortable but the lounge and especially kitchen were poor.

Lovely stay at the cottage, excellent location, with the main town easily walkable and the place had everything that you need for two people staying. The bed was incredible and so comfortable, I would love to know what the mattress topper was! The views are great from the upstairs bathroom and the fireplace was an added bonus. Would definitely recommend, and stay again!

Lovely quirky little cottage and perfect for our long weekend. Walked to Hardcastle Crag from the door and easy walk to the town. Definitely recommend.

Very clean, cosy, Skandi-style space which is beautifully presented. Walkable into HB and we didn’t spend much time in the cottage as we were out at the film festival (highly recommended) and around town. Not a problem for us but be aware that the two sets of stairs are v steep and narrow. Slight downside (which we may have missed in description) is that it’s on quite a busy road which bothered our nervous rescue dog. I also found the bed too soft, but that’s preference and it was perfect for my husband. Fantastic shower!

Great stay at an interesting characterful place. Loved the set up, facilities and location. Easy walking distance to Hebden and close to many longer walks. Would stay again.
