We had numerous issues during our stay: Firstly the shower is broken and unusable. This was a major inconvenience and made it difficult for us to get ready in the morning. Additionally, there was no hot water for the first 24h of our stay. The next day in the evening someone came to fix the shower temporarily but it needs to be fully replaced. The bed was also very uncomfortable: a cheap mattress with a separation in the middle. As a couple wishing to sleep together, you will end up in a hole in the middle. The sofa in the living room was full of holes, ripped and attempted to cover up with smelly blankets. it made it difficult for us to relax and enjoy our time in the flat. When we addressed these issues with the host, we were told that we were problematic and shouldn't expect the same level of service as an hotel and were even offered the opportunity to leave. It is very clear that the flat is in need of repairs and updates before being advertised as a luxurious “art house”.

We loved our stay in Katalin's apartment - it's in such a wonderful location, walking distance from pretty much everything! The apartment is spacious and very sweetly decorated. We felt very much at home there and would definitely consider staying there again on future trips to Budapest!

This place is very nice and spacious and superbly located. Public transit is great within a couple minutes' walk and you're central to many of the great sights in Budapest. Lots of good restaurants nearby and gyms (which is awesome for a long-term stay). Good grocery store close by as well. The only real negative for us was that it was very hot (two heat waves hit us, which can't be helped), and it's very difficult to feel comfortable in the apartment then. But otherwise, I would highly recommend the apartment, especially in non-hot months.

An amazing host! She meets us at the door on arrival and was always just a message away. The apartment was huge and very pretty with loads of personal touches everywhere like old family photos and pieces of art. However we don't know if it was us but we couldn't get the television to work, not the speaker. However, everything else was perfect

Katalin's apartment is stylish, spacious, clean and comfortable. It is located in a central part of the city so it is easy to reach all main Budapest attractions. So we spent a nice month there.
