Powered jetty berth at your doorstep & private undercover carport for a trailer boat. COMPLIMENTARY “welcome” bottle of local, vintage SPARKLING WINE on arrival for all bookings of 5 days or more. This historic old cottage has expansive decks & verandas surrounding the house. The living space contained within the original house is beautifully finished for style & comfort. Both bedrooms come with king sized beds for that luxury hotel feeling & ensuite bathrooms. Additionally the master bedroom has a kitchenette. Enjoy a morning coffee admiring the peaceful water views from its secluded veranda. The second detached "studio bedroom" has an additional two king single beds & a fully equipped ensuite laundry.

A beautiful historic house in an awesome setting. Clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. We had a peaceful, restful stay and our furry friend was also welcomed. I highly recommend this property and the very thoughtful, accommodating hosts. Thank you Ally and Mark 😊
Stayed for two nights and it was great. The views over the water are fantastic. So lovely sitting out on the front porch. Kitchen is well equipped and bed was comfy. Ally and Mark even had some honey and biscuits for us, special treats for our two dogs. We will definitely be back!
Hosts extremely responsive with clear directions, check in process, information on local attractions, restaurants, local contact details for Dr and Vet in case of emergencies. The property is private and quiet with lots of nice touches such as local treats on arrival, lovely bathroom products and even plush dog bed with fresh water bowl and dog treat for the smallest member of our family. Even the chickens made us feel welcome with fresh eggs most days . Lots and nothing to do with beach, walks and biking options or just watching the boats on the water .The place was lovely, owners have taken the history of the building and location in mind with lots of little nods to them both around the property. Can not recommend highly enough - we will be back

Ferryman’s cottage is very comfortable and spacious. It has lots of natural light and comfortable furnishings. I was so pleased that the bed was good quality, as a sagging bed can ruin a holiday. The kitchen has everything you need. We enjoyed being able to pick some produce from the herb and vegetable garden, and also to feed the chooks. There were surprise treats left out for us, as well as welcoming signs and notes, which we appreciated. We enjoyed reading about the history of the cottage in a folder left for visitors. The cottage is in an excellent position looking over McMillan Strait and the boat moorings, and well within walking distance to the ferry.

This very special property is located on a beautiful, peaceful Island famous for its resident koala population. It also offers a great place to see lots of other Australian wildlife in their natural habitat & also for you to enjoy it’s beautiful local beaches, walks, cycle rides & of course surrounding lakes & ocean.
Explore the islands beaches & eucalypt woodlands by car or enjoy using the adults bicycles we have provided. The roads on the island are all unsealed except the few in the “township”.
We try to maintain the bicycles in a useable condition! These are used at your own risk!
