The bustling market town of Ulverston is slightly further afield, where you can look forward to a stroll along the canal, which is the world's shortest, widest and deepest canal before taking to The Cumbria Way for a wonderful walking adventure. Other local attractions include the South Lakes Safari Zoo, the National Trust owned Sandscale Haws National Nature Reserve and the countryside hall of Holker Hall & Gardens.
