Situated on the outskirts of the small, idyllic village of Crockey Hill near York, this attractive property is perfect for families or friends looking to spend quality time together. Its rural position ensures peace and tranquillity, yet you’re only 4.5 miles from the beautiful walled city of York, where you’ll find a wealth of attractions, history and independent shops and eateries. Surrounded on all sides by golden wheat fields and lush green countryside, there are plenty of walks from your doorstep; you may even be lucky enough to spot the local family of deer or other interesting wildlife in its natural habitat. From the outside, this property is very much the traditional family home with its neat garden path leading you across the immaculately presented front garden to the red brick exterior. Step inside, however, and you’ll appreciate the contemporary décor, which is still in keeping with the house’s rural heritage. A neutral palette accentuates the wooden highlights and odd pops of colour, whilst statement pieces add style and demonstrate the owner’s eye for detail. After leaving your coats and boots in the hallway, enter the open-plan living space where you and your loved ones can relax in comfort and spend time together. To the front of the property, is the lounge which has a wood burner as its focal point- perfect for snuggling up of an evening- and views out to the front garden. The dining area has plenty of seating for everyone to dine, play games or plan adventures together. To the rear, the well-equipped kitchen has everything you’ll need to rustle up treats for you and your guests, including a large, electric range-oven. The window behind the sink allows views of the rear garden. Across the hallway, there is also a snug if you’d prefer somewhere cosy and private to curl up in front of a roaring fire. Upstairs, there are three gorgeous bedrooms to choose from. Two super-king, zip-and-link rooms which can be made up as twins on request and one double. One room has an en-suite shower room and a family bathroom with a shower over the bath completes the accommodation. Outside, the enclosed garden wraps itself around the whole house, making it safe and secure for both children and dogs. It also provides a large area for them to stretch their legs and enjoy the fresh, country air. The garden gets sunshine all day, so it’s ideal for alfresco morning coffee, lunch or dinner. You could even light up the BBQ. There is off-road parking for at least one car.
