We had an uncomfortable situation occur during our stay. We reported the incident to management. Long story short, my partner and I had a racially discriminatory situation occur with one of the hostess at the “Conquistador” restaurant. Said restaurant was said to be the best on the resort. Sadly to say our time there was less than pleasant. My partner ended up in tears after the exchange with a very unpleasant employee. We are waiting to hear back from the General manager who assured us that this matter would not go on without the proper investigation. We sincerely hope there are repercussions for those that feel they can treat individuals in this manner. My partner was significantly affected by the entire situation, and she is someone who typically can handle anything. I expect to hear back from upper management on this matter and to have some sort of resolve. This cannot be happening in 2024. If you are of color and decide this resort is the place for you to spend your time, think.

Call before going to the hotel. They didn’t have my reservation, had to call Airbnb support team to help with solve this situation

We arrived early and although our room was not ready they kindly and without request provided a different room to accommodate us. Obviously this is not the hosts fault, we didn’t plan to arrive until after check in so there was no request made on our end. The staff was great and the available room was very helpful as we went for a tournament and wanted to drop off items that needed refrigeration. Because of this, there was no balcony but we didn’t even realize it until after the fact (we couldn’t have used it anyway, we only stayed overnight- games went late and started back up early morning). No big deal for us, they did help us out after all- I just can’t provide a review of that area. The room had a mini fridge, shampoo/conditioner/body wash/lotion, two water bottles, and most importantly- very comfortable beds. We didn’t get a chance to try their restaurants but we heard good things from others about them. I definitely would recommend and would stay again!
