Lovely … private … quiet … and spit spot clean. We had great days of exploring and it was so comforting to step in the door in the evening start to unwind and have some wine and dinner and regain energy for the next day’s adventures. We all slept soundly and started each new day rested and ready for: Exploring Ghent. Don’t miss the bakery with the giant chandelier. A full day in Brugges. Visit to a lovely goat farm that makes wonderful cheeses and ice cream. Geitenboerderij de Volle Maan is a meticulous farm. Flanders Fields … very moving. The serene view from the home’s windows always closed each day.

Andre's house was perfect for our family's adventure in Belgium. Andre provided everything we needed to get settled, and had a lot of great information about the area. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, and even had a small amount of food and great Belgian beer on our arrival. Location was good for us. While its a far walk from Ghent's city center, we had our vehicle and planned to take several day trips to nearby locations so it was nice to be just outside the city to get away easily without traffic. It's a nice quiet area with a very good bakery a few minutes away, and easy to get into Ghent with the train station nearby or driving to a parking garage. Only issue we had was our daughter closed the door with an autolock and the key still inside when we were about to depart on one of our day trips. Luckily we had everything we needed, except hot water for my wife's tea. Andre was kind enough to put the key back in the lockbox before we got back.

We had a great stay with our family of 4 in Andre's house. It has all the amenities required for a longer stay and the place is very child/baby friendly. Andre also took care of everything we needed in terms of children high chairs and cots. It's a brand new and modern house situated in a very peaceful part of the city, would definitely recommend and we will be back for our next visit to Belgium.
