The Gypsies Drifter was in an absolutely beautiful and convenient location. Unfortunately there were a few issues which made us cut our stay short, however, Wilson really wanted us to enjoy the stay and I'm hopeful he will correct a few things so future guests will have a great experience that matches the location. I think Wilson may have forgotten about our stay as the boat wasn't clean - the garbage hadn't been emptied, the fridge was full of food including fish bait. We were hesitant to use the shower as it was mildewed and needed a good cleaning. Wilson also had a couple of bookings that would have conflicted with our stay. He found a different boat for one booking but the other would have us checking out really early on our last day. We just decided to go elsewhere given that and Wilson was good to deal with when he understood our concerns. Being directly on the water with the beautiful lights at night and the beautiful scenery during the day was an amazing thing though!!

Wilson potentially has an amazing place; unfortunately, there were a few hiccups with our stay and due to our timeline, it ultimately impacted our stay heavily. We all arrived around 4pm and went to grill steaks before our show that evening. Quickly it was evident there was not enough propane for us to cook and after a quick call to Wilson it was determined there was no back up, so we were unable to cook the food we brought for dinner. We weren't told prior to check in that one washroom was unusable; however, even using the other washroom didn't work. Another member of our party flushed the toilet and we lost all light power on the boat. Sun had just set and we couldn't see or get ready for our event. Wilson came back to fix it; however, we were already at the event and wouldn't be back till 930/10pm. Parking is an extra 40 bucks (told 30), but the downside is parking ends at 7am the next day (wasn't informed), so we couldn't even enjoy the noon check out. It was unfortunate.

It's a lot of fun to have a little oasis in Coal Harbour, sitting out on the back deck with a few drinks and watch all the boats go by. The boat was surprisingly warm in winter with the help of a few space heaters, and the bed is very comfy. Perfect for a couple to have a little getaway (or someone wanting a different kind of stay while visiting the casino!)

While the listing didn’t say, the boat was equipped with towels, shampoo etc, blow dryer, coffee and Bluetooth speaker. It also had two separate bedrooms. It’s a bit tricky to find if you’re not familiar with the area, but the owner was very helpful and friendly and explained all the quirks of staying on the boat. And once you’re there it’s so much fun!! In the morning we sat on the edge of the boat and dipped our feet in the water, drinking coffee and watching the aquabus go by!
