We had a great few days at this very special, historical place. The house is spacious and has a very laid-back atmosphere. The place is old, of course, and so are the furniture and amenities so don't expect the modcons, but there is hot water and it's clean and comfortable. Situated at the foot of the mountain, Zomba's shops, Chipiku, market and restaurants are within easy (walking, sometimes) distance, yet it is very peaceful and the starry skies at night are stunning. Patrick, the watchman, is always closeby to keep and eye on things, and Anita is a super responsive and kind host. All proceeds from the rental go to the near-by vocational training centre Anita runs for young Malawians, which is a great cause. Would definitely recommend.

We bevelen deze locatie van harte aan. Anita is een bijzonder vriendelijke host en het huis staat op een mooie locatie tussen het groen. Daarnaast is Patrick de meest vriendelijke Malawiaan dienu kunt ontmoeten. Zijn smile is onvergetelijk. Last but not least, met de huur van dit huis ondersteunt u een scholingsproject voor jongeren.

We felt right at home at Anita's. From the beginning she was great at communicating with us and I have never met a friendlier host. Her home is warm, with love to details and a hidden gem for families in Zomba. We found paper flowers inside the rooms, and the kitchen was equipped with the major necessities such as salt,coffe and sugar to guarantee a wonderful first morning. Anita even wanted feedback how to make her home even more child friendly after our stay. Let's not forget about Patrick, who lives on the side with you during your stay and always helps out with a smile on his Face. He washed our car every single morning and helped us carry in groceries, folded the laundry for us. A truly generous, humble and hardworking man. Thank you Anita and we will be back 100%!

Anita is a fantastic hostess. She has a large network in Zomba and can therefore respond very well to questions from her guests. The house is spacious with a large garden and within walking distance to the center of Zomba. Next to the house is a good pizza restaurant. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend Anita as a hostess.

We were the first visitors to stay . Anita was very welcoming and helpful. The house and grounds were beautiful. It is not to far up the hill but far enough. It made getting to places easy. Mr Patrick was very good and attentive. The house is spacious and very comfortable. We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night. We will be going back . Thank you so much Anita.
