Perfect place for a big group needing lots of space. Cool historic building with everything we needed.

My friends and I decided to stay at the Rose Castle for a weekend because it was closest to an event we had. Everything went well, until 3 days before my reservation I received a message by the host mentioning a “staff” will be residing in the basement while we’re there. My friends and I did feel uncomfortable at the fact that someone we didn’t know was going to have access to our common living spaces and belongings. We did let the host know how we felt about this, and she was able to accommodate the “staff” somewhere else while our stay. Also, as we get inside the house we did notice there was more than 5 cameras in the common areas, even though this is legal by Airbnb, my group and I felt like we were being watched with too much cameras. The last negative thing I have to say is that my friend found an open box with a used condom behind her nightstand. Disgusting. We left it there. Other than that, house was beautiful, antique, great parking, location, and big.

Check in was a little difficult. The area was not the best but the place was big and clean.
