It’s a rustic cabin! Charming and well done- just read the fine print so you know what you are signing up for. The host is friendly and responsive. If you are looking for something off the beaten path that’s got some old world elements, this is your place.

The cabin was really unique and the stream was amazing. We loved the hot tub next to the stream and hanging out on the porch next to the chimney fire pit. The outhouse was clean and easy to reach, so it wasn't too problematic that the electric toilet inside isn't functional. They are building a house next door so there's some construction happening but they were super respectful of our privacy and didn't make lots of noise or anything. Overall, it was a lovely place to enjoy the fall colors, decompress and hang out with loved ones.

This place is basically a little piece of paradise. The setting is beautiful, private, off-the-beaten path, and immersed in nature. Like the listing says, make sure to read all of the description, because the place is rustic and (almost literally) at the end of the road. We wanted all of these things so not only did we not have any problem with some of the things mentioned in other reviews, we embraced it and loved it! The place itself has everything you need, all of it one-of-a-kind and with character. If you are ok with the caveats James mentions (again, read the description as he asks) then I 100% recommend this place. It is one of the best places I have ever stayed. We were so sad to go but so happy to have spent some time in this unique spot.

Our stay at the cabin was so much better than we could have imagined. The location is so private and beautiful. We enjoyed the stream, hiking in the national forest, cooking, relaxing, sitting outside by the fire, and enjoying each other’s company. We planned well bringing in lots of food and had no need to leave the property. It was perfect!
