Apartment Vignole is located on Slovenian coast, the shortest coast in Europe. It is a part of the municipality of Portorož.
Vinjole village is a settlement overlooking the Sečovlje Salina Nature Park, one of the most attractive natural and cultural pearls of Slovenia, that has been home to centuries long tradition of salt-making, which from the Middle Ages till today created and preserved this unique saltpan landscape.
Do you prefer more action-packed areas in and by the sea or are you looking for your own oasis of tranquillity accompanied by a sea breeze? You can find both in Portorož and Piran. Those looking for something more lively can head directly to Portorož’s central beach, while those looking for a more intimate spot can retreat to Moon Bay (Mesečev zaliv) or the Bay of St. Cross (Zaliv Sv. Križa). In addition to the sea, there are two freshwater lakes in Fiesa, and the bathing site in Strunjan is also popular. There is quite a lot to choose from. You can enjoy hiking on safe, easy and scenic circular footpaths that will take you through Piran, Portorož, Lucija, Seča, Strunjan and their surroundings. Marked cycling routes offer you everything from easy trips for the whole family to challenging routes for experienced cyclists. Famous Parenzana, also known as Porečanka, is a popular cycling trail between Trieste and Poreč which follows the route of a former railway line. An inspiring panoramic flight over Portorož or a breathtaking tandem jump will assure you an adrenal rush that you will never forget.
If you move just slightly inland, the beautiful Istrian villages, which shelter numerous cultural treasures, selected goods produced in Istrian soil, and friendly locals will be deeply ingrained in your memories, especially at the end of August, when the harvest takes place in vineyards, and in the autumn, when the smoke tree comes alive with its red colour and when you can witness olive picking in olive groves. Visit Hrastovlje and see the famous Danse Macabre fresco, learn about the typical Istrian village of Koštabona, which arouses interest due to its authentic urban planning design, visit the Land of Refošk in the vicinity of Marezige, and enjoy a fantastic view from Strmec Castle.

Parenzana, also known as Porečanka, is a popular cycling trail between Trieste and Poreč which follows the route of a former railway line. There are many interesting things that you can see along the way. In the Slovenian section of the trail, you can visit three nature parks, the old town centre of Koper, and a beach by a lighthouse in Izola, and you can also see the Forma Viva collection of stone sculptures. There are also many other cycling trails that can take you around the coast and its countryside.
The Karst Edge, which rises in the hinterland of Koper, is Slovenia's central climbing location where more than half of Slovenia’s climbing routes, with various levels of difficulty, are found. The most popular one among climbers is the wall in Osp, the oldest Slovenian village. You can also find a number of routes at Črni Kal and Črnotiče. In addition to climbing, you can also explore the natural and cultural characteristics of the Karst Edge on biking and hiking trails.
A series of well-maintained bathing areas can be found along the Slovenian coast, from Cape Debeli Rtič to Seča, for those who yearn for busy beaches and those who seek peaceful areas in nature by the sea.
On the Slovenian coast and its Istrian countryside, you can find many trails that will lead you among vineyards and olive groves, past special natural sites, pleasant Istrian villages, and cultural landmarks. You can head to the seaside on foot by taking different long-distance trails.
