Centrally located and walking distance to the Mason downtown square: antique/vintage shopping, boutiques, Mason wineries, Micro-brewery, historic sites/museums and restaurants. This house has multiple units to accommodate small OR large groups and LOTS of parking in back for larger vehicles/trailers, etc. Also, we welcome well-behaved pets and families! Enjoy morning coffee or a happy hour drink from front or back porch (great views out back)! This historic Mason house is over 100 years old with lots of rustic and eclectic charm throughout. Built after World War I by Rudolph and Jennie (Gardner) Doell. It is divided into 4 units, each with their own entrances. Guests enter unit A through the left front door into the Liv/dining/kitchen. Front bedroom has 1 queen bed. Second bedroom has 1 full-size bed- note that second room is accessed through bedroom 1 door OR bathroom door. **Please try to keep all bedroom doors open if possible to keep cool air flow from the living room high capacity window HVAC unit. In addition to the one window unit, each bedroom has a ceiling fan and an additional space heater for winter.

Great place to stay.
House is old, but cute and full of character. I loved it. Perfect for what we needed. Rhea had the ac on for us and was quick to reply to all our messages. Will definitely stay again if we need a place again.

The place is great, it's not the fanciest place, but we're in Mason, not the Bellagio. Got to see some Mason County Topaz and met with the locals, all who were extremely nice and helpful. Love that there were none of those rules that a lot of Airbnbs have started putting in. Just a simple check in, check out, and good wifi. Very walkable to the rest of town. Would stay again!
Rhea accepted our request so quickly. We were able to relax and make plans. The home was just what we needed. It is over 100 years old and is well preserved and roomy. The queen sized bed was very comfy. We could walk to the square with ease to eat and shop. We would definitely stay here again.

Located in a commercial area, across the street from a small convenience store, right off the Highway and just a few blocks from the Mason square.
Walk or drive to the Mason square- easy to park on and around square. Should you need it, there is one "taxi" service called the Sunshine Driver. about 15-20 minutes to the Llano/James River crossing (be sure to check out the James River Icehouse!)

My family loves living full-time in Mason and we enjoy spending time exploring new places... micro-breweries, secret swimming holes, historic sites and great foodie stops. We also love pets, so they are always welcome at our units (Our dogs often travel with us, but we leave the goats, sheep, cats and chickens at home in Mason)!
