Connect with Nature at Oxley in the Woods. The A-Frame treehouse is off-grid, with no electricity or running water. It is nestled in a secluded location on a 230+ acre farm. Sided with sapele (a type of mahogany), the house boasts beautiful woodwork, trimmed inside with maple and sapele. The loft has a double bed, while the lower level has two single mattresses. This lovely treehouse A-frame provides the perfect escape into the quiet of the Coshocton County countryside. The A frame Treehouse is accessed by steps leading to a large deck. Guests enter the treehouse door using a code. There is a ladder to the loft with a double bed. The first level has a two twin beds, that can be used as a day bed or unstacked and used as two single beds, a table and chairs, a cozy chair and ottoman, as well as a cabinet. The outhouse is located outside of the treehouse. It is a composting outhouse.
The A-Frame was a beautiful stay! Stayed with my partner and our two small dogs. It was a great way to reconnect with nature. The property is spacious and our dogs loved the short hike after a longer hike at Blackhand gorge. We started a campfire (bring a lighter!) and made smores under the stars. We liked how seats were provided and firewood was ready to go. Never used a compost outhouse, but it was actually very easy to use, clean, and not unpleasant as I expected it to be. The treehouse was suprisingly cool for the warm weather. Our favorite part was reading on the balcony during the sunset and listening to the MANY birds. It was lovely. :)
We can’t say enough about this stay! Exactly what busy family needs to unwind and reconnect off the grid! The kids loved it and mom got to be a kid for the day :)
We loved it! We brought our daughter and pups with us and it was perfect for us all to have quality time together and enjoy the outdoors. Our daughter loved the loft bed and the slide on the deck, which the massive deck was so nice to hang out on. We enjoyed hearing the cows and other animals in the distance and just being out a little more remote. Would definitely stay again!
I had an amazing time spending a night off the grid with my daughters. They loved the swings and slide. We took a little night walk and had a nice fire. It was truly a valuable experience for my kids and I. They’ll never forget it.
Lovey farms surround our area. Woods, crops, pastures, and farmhouses. Amish neighbors ride by on their buggies and occasional ATV's drive by on the dirt roads. The road to the house is a dirt road. The house is nestled in the woods on a 230+ acre farm.
The treehouse A-frame has its own drive that is fairly steep. It is a gravel drive that leads directly to the house.

I’m Carol! My husband, Von, and I live with our two daughters and my parents on our family farm. I’m a Cincinnati native, but I love living in the country where I am surrounded by more farms, beautiful woods, and a thriving Amish community. We love the outdoors, exploring, and meeting new people. We have been working to create trails and campsites on the farm so that others can come and enjoy the beautiful Ohio countryside!
