Nestled on the tranquil shores of our lake in the heart of the countryside, this cabin offers amazing views with a harmonious blend of contemporary aesthetics and rustic coziness, promising an unforgettable retreat. Lakefront Retreat: This cabin's exterior is a vision of rustic elegance, with its larch cladding, sedum earth home roof, and a spacious lakeside deck that beckons you to take in the breathtaking views. Modern Country Interior: Step inside, and you'll find a thoughtfully designed interior that seamlessly combines modern comforts with timeless country style. Living Area: The heart of the cabin is the open-concept living area. Tall curved roof creates an airy feel with design in mind, while a wood burning stove, complete with a reclaimed brick mantel, adds a cosy touch. The living room and kitchen area has amazing views - extremely cosy with the log burner on! Kitchen and Dining: The kitchen is equipped with dishwasher and oven and fridge freezer and is part of the living area. The adjacent dining area features a beautiful dining table with ample seating, inviting you to gather for memorable meals and conversations. There is also a washing machine for clothes in utility room. Bedrooms: All 3 design led bedrooms are tranquil retreats designed for relaxation. 2 bedrooms boast a king-sized bed with luxurious linens and tasteful country decor and the other has 2 single beds. All have luxurious top quality mattresses from Darlings of Chelsea. Bathrooms: The bathrooms continue the cabin's aesthetic seamlessly, with modern fixtures harmonizing with elements like designer tiles and sinks that evoke the modern countryside charm. One bathroom is ensuite with a small bath and shower and the other has a large walk in shower. Lakefront Living: Outside, the cabin extends its charm with a spacious lakefront deck. Furnished with comfortable seating and an outdoor dining table, it's the perfect spot to sip morning coffee while taking in the breathtaking sunrise view or to enjoy a lakeside drink with friends and family. You can also watch the steam engine pass by. An immersive escape👌 Fabulous cabin in a superb location. Perfect for relaxing & soaking up the beautiful reflections of greenery in the pond and chilling out with the sound of all the ducks and geese. We also saw fish, frogs, ducklings, a Herron and a pack of young dear wandering around the grounds. We didn’t want to leave!
This AirBnB is idyllic. The location is peaceful and quiet, the property has lots of activities to enjoy including a paddle board and row boat! The space is clean and tidy and the hosts communicated brilliantly. We did have some issues with the electricity as it kept tripping when the extractor fan in the kitchen was on, which the hosts were made aware of and investigated while we were there. We would also suggest the provision of bin liners (we used our own plastic bags) and cleaning of the outdoor furniture which sadly was unusable due to mold. The hot water takes a long time to fill up which is warned about in the manual. 1 person in our group of 4 took an 8 minute shower which used up all the hot water, which then took at least 45 minutes to refill. This accommodation sleeps up to 6 so I’d consider shorter showers. Overall, these were small things that could be fixed, but didn’t affect the quality of our stay. We had a fantastic time and would definitely book again! Thanks!
An absolutely amazing place. We booked last minute to get some family time with our teenage children and it was perfect. The location, the lodge everything was amazing. We could not of asked for more. We will definitely be booking again and highly recommend.
Everything was fantastic during the stay. The house is superb and even better than the photos - very comfortable, nicely furnished and has lots of features, which are not standard for a holiday let, but make a huge difference, including spices in the kitchen, washing machine pods, well stocked kitchen, toy box and books for the children, a lovely cot for a baby. The house also came with a really great guide for the area, we picked a few things that we didn’t even know were about and enjoyed a lot.
A lovely place for families to visit, we booked both lodges. We used the boat and paddle board and played board games all weekend. Would definitely recommend
