March 2024 We had a delightful stay during my daughter’s college spring break. We very much appreciated the air conditioning in the bedrooms and the sparkling pool! The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook some full meals for the 4 of us. Our host Gary was impressively responsive to any question and he reached out in advance to be sure we had everything we needed to have an amazing experience. Gary set us up with a boat tour that was so much fun - snorkeling, dolphins and a gorgeous sunset. He also was very gracious when we locked ourselves out of the house. He even helped us get a taxi for our adventurous college students - which made us feel safe sending them out on their own. Note that the road is very bumpy and the location is a bit far so be aware that it isn’t in walking distance to conveniences.

A great spot to spend the weekend! It was nice to have air conditioning in each of the bedrooms, a private pool and all the necessities for a weekend stay. We saw some monkeys and lots of birds from the patio!

We loved our stay. The house was perfect for our family of 3. We enjoyed having the pool to come home to after our days filled with excursions. Less than 10 min drive to town. Would stay here again.

We had a delightful last-minute stay at Fernando's place. The house felt like it was in the jungle despite being very close to town. The final 1/4 mile of the road was bumpy (recommend 4x4) but totally worth it. If you don't have a car, plenty of the tour operators can easily get to the house to pick you up. The communication and recommendations were very helpful. They were available to answer questions and help book any activity at any time. A/C in all 3 bedrooms were invaluable. The pool offered great relief to the heat and humidity after a full day of activities.
