Sundown Lodge is full of charming details, from the moment you step through the baby pink front door you are drawn to the eye-catching artwork and stained-glass doors. The lodge is set across the ground floor and has been beautifully renovated to provide a romantic retreat for couples or a rural stay for a small family with flexible accommodation. The kitchen is bright and colourful, providing plenty of space to prepare meals and a dining table for quick breakfasts before you rush out the door to explore the area. There is a main dining area in the open-plan living room where you can serve lavish evening meals before relaxing on the luxurious velvet sofa. If you have more than two guests staying or you require two beds, the sofa can be converted to a double bed. The Smart Frame TV is hidden in plain sight above the fire and if you need to do some work there is a vintage writing desk in the corner. The quirky bedroom has a king-size bed and is at the back of the lodge to ensure you have a peaceful night. Finishing the lodge is the bathroom, equally as colourful as the kitchen where you can soak in the peace and quiet. Outside you have a fully enclosed terrace with a bistro set where you can while away the evening hours with a glass of wine. Take the dogs out on a walk to enjoy the spectacular views and watch the changing colours of the Cotswold sunsets. Set on Dover's Hill you are within a stone's throw of the Cotswold Way which takes you into Chipping Campden. Head further afield to Moreton-in-Marsh, Broadway and even Stratford-upon-Avon and Cheltenham within half an hour by car. There is an oven/hob with an integral microwave, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher and a washer/dryer. The rustic kitchen table seats four and from here you have access to the terrace. Bathroom: Matching the kitchen tiles, the bathroom provides an uplifting morning shower or a relaxing evening soak in the tub. There is a WC and sink and a large mirror and heated towel rail. Bedroom One: Full of personality, the comfortable bedroom has a king-size bed. Dramatic wallpaper and bright soft furnishings sit alongside vintage furniture including a chest of drawers and bedside tables. There is also some storage space in the built-in cupboards. Open-plan living/dining: This welcoming room seamlessly combines the dining area and sitting area. Before the Smart Frame TV sits a sofa which can be converted to a double bed. There is also an armchair and a writing desk. A selection of games and books are available if there's nothing you fancy watching on TV. The Gordon Russell designed dining table seats four and is perfect for evening meals together or for spreading out the Scrabble set. Outside A fully enclosed patio terrace has a table and chairs for drinks and light bites in the sun and the small grassed garden is perfect for four-legged friends. Views stretch out in the distance to the hills beyond where you can watch the setting sun. From your doorstep you can easily follow paths into the surrounding fields or head out onto Dover's Hill and walk a section of the Cotswold Way.
