We loved our stay at Judy's suite - the garden is so beautiful and we loved being around the animals! The suite is very well equipped, clean and felt luxurious. It was a perfect end to our roadtrip through the rockies. We didn't want to leave! We would recommend Judy's place to anyone visiting the area.
If you're seeking a serene and private getaway, this is the perfect spot. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is well-equipped, impeccably clean, and blissfully quiet. I adored Judy's dogs, chickens, ducks, and goats; they added so much charm to our experience. Judy provides two packs of chicken and goat food, allowing guests to interact with the animals. The highlight for me was the fireplace, which created a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Judy was incredibly helpful and attentive to all our needs. Staying here was definitely the right choice.
Truly one of a kind, super peaceful stay. My partner and I were looking for a weekend gateway and were specially looking for a calm away from the crowded areas stay. Judy's place gave us all we were looking for, a nice fireplace, cozy stay, fun time with her farm animals and even enjoyable chats with her. Highly recommended! Definitely try one of her workshops if you're staying here
From the moment we arrived we were "home". Judy is engaging, intelligent and very generous. She shares the special space she has created with a kind and giving heart. Her handmade soap, her teas, and the chicken motif carry throughout. The shower was hot and the blankets were cozy. And the modern kitchen was nicer than mine at home! Thank you Judy. Sincerely.
Great peaceful stay at the farm. Judy was incredibly responsive and helpful with local recommendations. We loved playing soccer with Judy's dogs, talk to farm hands and feed the animals. Plenty of hikes around.

Judy believes that it is important for everyone to get their hands dirty every once in a while (or more). As the founder of Strathcona Urban Seed Collections and the main driver behind the Strathcona 1890 Truck Farm, her mission is to inspire more people to grow a little. She helped build and plant the vertical food wall at RayCam Community Centre as well as a vertical teaching garden at Lord Strathcona Elementary School. She has run her Growing with Lego workshops at a number of venues. In 2015 she moved a house from San Juan Island to bare land on a mountain in Mission, BC where she is presently developing a small farm with everything from apples, plums, cherries and blueberries to hazelnuts, paw paw, hardy pecans and of course seeds and assorted veggies.
