Situated in the centre of the historic city of Norwich in one of the grandest streets, previously known as the Harley Street of Norwich, close to the Medieval Guildhall. Today the area around the street is widely known as The Lanes.
The Norwich Lanes are a series of alleyways, courtyards and open spaces set just a few steps away from the Guildhall and Norwich City Hall.
The medieval architecture is some of the finest to be found anywhere in the UK. Mainly pedestrianised, the Lanes offer something for everyone, morning, noon and night.
Today the Lanes are home to well over 300 independent retailers, cafès, restaurants, pubs and bars. You’ll also find an independent cinema, Cinema City, a 10 minute walk away from the house, a community theatre, two museums, several galleries and a whole host of live music venues too.
The Theatre Royal, a 5 minute walk away is an independent theatre which puts on a vibrant programme of events, working with national and international partners, from the Royal Shakespeare Company to Dance Consortium; Glyndebourne to Matthew Bourne along side workiing with local artists and the community.
The Market, just a few steps away is one of the largest covered outdoor markets in Europe with over 300 stalls offering a vibrant mix of food, crafts and flowers.
Upper St Giles feels like a bit of a secret, sitting at the west tip of Norwich Lanes it is often referred to by locals as the 'NottingHill of Norwich'. Cafes, scandi bakeries and resturants are set in this beautiful street of Georgian shop fronts.

Guests can pull up outside the house to drop off their bags before parking their car. We do have on street visitor parking permits available free of charge for our guests, however, that does not guarantee a space.
The main train line station is a 20 minute walk away.
