Masseria Mandrone is an oasis of tranquility at an altitude of 1,200 m foothills of the mountain Pollino, in a small valley, framed by several hectares of property and the woods. No houses can be seen around; only nature and the sounds of the mountains. At night, silence reigns and the starry sky is truly special! The history of the house has been preserved: the living room is in the old barn, the dining room in the carpenter's laboratory, and the outside dine-space is the old cattle shed. -The farmhouse The farmhouse has two floors. On the ground floor, which formerly housed the stable and storerooms, there is a large living room, kitchen, bathroom and dining room with a fireplace. The comfortable sofa in the living room becomes a two-seater bed. The upper floor is reached by an external staircase. Here you will find a second kitchen, while the corridor leads to the bathroom and bedrooms. There are two bedrooms. The larger one is very spacious, with a balcony; in addition to the double bed it has a single bed. The smaller room is furnished with two single beds that can be joined or separated if necessary. The two floors can be used together (living area on the ground floor and sleeping area on the first) or as two independent units. The house has been recently renovated. It has heated floors that make it comfortable even when temperatures are low. Furnished with its usual furniture, it does not lack modern conveniences. It has two fridges, TV and wifi (which unfortunately is a bit slow due to the location of the house). There is ample space for parking the car, which can go right up to the front door. The ground floor is also welcoming for those with reduced mobility. - The garden Around the farmhouse a big garden where the ruins of ancient buildings serve as a barbecue area -with space for roasting and a large table for eating in the cool of a turkey oak tree- and a shed.
