Emily’s place is tucked away in the bush, a short walk through native forest full of birdsong to the lakefront of Rotoiti. The fire quickly warms up the place and the kitchen has all you need for a comfortable stay. We woke to the birds and enjoyed being so close to walks in the area.

Quiet and Cosy Kiwi Cabin. Clean. Old fashioned. Nice short walk to the lake, great Hikes around. You have to follow some instructions in the house, but that s fine. Bring your own linen or you can have it optional. Host was very helpful.

Our stay was nestled in a breathtaking location by the lake, a mere five-minute walk through enchanting native forest. The serene sounds of kiwi at night added a magical touch to our experience. The bach itself is a haven of comfort, privately set amidst the forest, offering both seclusion and a deep connection with nature. Future guests should note that beds are not made upon arrival, and there's an expectation to strip the bedsheets and place them in the washing machine, a practice uncommon in Airbnbs nowadays. Despite this, our stay was immensely comfortable, very quick responses from owners, and it was enhanced by a stunning outdoor area perfect for barbecues and relaxation. This idyllic retreat is ideal for those looking to immerse themselves in nature's beauty while enjoying modern comforts. Highly recommended!
