With Sugarbush and Mad River resort nearby, the downhill wintertime skiing is unmatched! In the summer, enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, and fishing, while admiring the beautiful plumage and surroundings no matter the time of year. After a day of adventuring, come home and relax in the bubbling hot tub. Upon entry, you'll be met with a bright interior and a cozy atmosphere throughout the well-appointed living area. Marvel at the floor-to-ceiling windows that blanket the space in natural light, highlighting the comfort radiating from every corner. Sipping coffee or enjoying brunch on the expansive deck showcases the breathtaking ski mountain view. Relax and make yourself at home by resting on the plush furniture, curling up with a good book by the stone fireplace, or indulging in a favorite movie on the large TV. Prepare grand meals and adventure snacks in the full kitchen, equipped with stainless steel appliances, a breakfast bar, and a formal dining table. A dedicated workspace is available should you need to work remotely. Comfortable beds in spacious bedrooms ensure that everyone will receive a wonderful night's rest from the day's activities. Kids will love hosting sleepovers in the bunkroom, making memories that'll last a lifetime. <b>THINGS TO KNOW</b> 4WD or tire chains required in winter 2 dog(s) are welcome in this home. No other animals are allowed without specific Vacasa approval. <br/>Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles. <br/>Air conditioning is only available in certain parts of the home. <br/>Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a damage waiver fee which covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. More information can be found from the "Additional rules" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Nice place. Make sure you have 4 wheel drive otherwise you will not be able to get up to the place
Quintessential New England ski chalet that we all loved.. Modern reno/upgrades with classic chalet charm. Place had plenty of space to sleep and hang out, new and well-stocked kitchen/bathrooms, wonderful hot-tub, cozy wood fireplace, separate tv room for teens, & mountain view. Also, awesome location with mountain feel but was a quick ride to Sugarbush and local amenities. We’d come back! Few things to note: Communication: Very proactive messaging system but it’s an AI bot so when you need assistance it’s a challenge. Access: In winter you MUST have a good 4WD vehicle. It’s in a somewhat rural location w/ unpaved roads and a steep long driveway. We had 3 pickup trucks with 4WD and had issues. We were grateful that someone eventually came by to plow/sand. This service is a must by owner in winter. We were told it wasn’t so we were pleasantly surprised. Declined for late check out but we understood. They did offer early check in. Truly a great place, just be prepared in winter.
The house was great for us! It was clean and what we expected. Not too far from the mountain. We all enjoyed our time there.
This house was close to Sugarbush ski resort, which was the main reason we rented it. But the house was a big disappointment. Here's why, 1. The snow was not removed from the front of the house, making it difficult to get in. And the long steep driveway still had a layer of snow which made it difficult to get our cars up. We had to shovel a path ourselves and remove the snow from the deck that's off of the living room. 2. They did not leave garbage bags or Paper towels. These are basic needs thay every house shold have. We had to go out of our way to buy these things. 3. The bath towels, though there were enough, were really thin and small. The kind you might get in a gym. 4. We requested a late check out, by just a couple of hours and the property management responded that "even though there is no rental right after us, they could not give us a late check out. We were shocked! Overall, the house size and location was good for us but it definitely was NOT worth the price paid.
