The stay itself was ok - house is large and conveniently located for skiing at Okemo, well-equipped with a lot of pots/pants, utensils, etc, and it generally felt clean. However, the stairs inside were very slippery and the air/heat was generally very dry. The hottub outside was nice, though the deck area to it had not been shoveled and was covered in several inches of ice (which were then covered by snow). Similarly, the driveway was icy and had not been shoveled when we arrived, and we were only able to get up it as we had AWD - we were stuck otherwise. The biggest issue was with communication with the host prior to the stay - when I would ask questions, they kept providing the sam copy/pasted responses (that didn't actually answer the questions). The host is an agency so we don't expect the same level of attention/care as individual hosts, but it was quite frustrating. So overall, I'd say the house itself was nice, though the service overall could use help.
Amazing location impressive house
Our stay here was a good one. The location is great for Okemo skiing. The house was clean and looked like the pictures so no complaints there. However, we had major issues with the walkways and steps leading to the house and hot tub. There was over a foot of snow that wasn’t cleaned on either decks plus another 3-6inches of straight ice underneath which made it impossible to clean ourselves. These were extremely dangerous conditions that could easily cause injury to the guests. Additionally, the icicles hanging from the roof were long and dangerous as well. There was only one shovel on the property and no ice melt provided either so we had to use extra caution when trying to get to the hot tub and back into the house from the outside. The inside of the house was great, however the dangerous conditions of the stairs and walkways had a big negative impact on our stay unfortunately. These conditions should be taken care of so to prevent injuries to future guests.
