TLDR: You won't regret staying here. It's very nice and peaceful. 🏡🌳 Rustic was our Memorial Weekend getaway this year, and we enjoyed our stay there. I wish we could have stayed one more night. The place is located between Grand Portage (US-Canada border) and Grand Marais, MN. Be prepared to brake hard on the highway to find the place; it can be a little tricky but is alright. Make sure you download offline maps because the cell connection is very unstable around there. The place was as described in the listing: a clean cabin with a great view of Lake Superior. We enjoyed the night view and morning sunshine. 🌄☀️ Amenities: Water wasn't available, or we couldn't figure out how to use the water from the tank, so we brought our own water. There is no electricity, but a camp light is provided. The cabin has a gas burner heater, so it's not extremely cold but bring your own sleeping bag. The nearest gas station is 10 minutes away in the Grand Portage area in case you need supplies. ⛽️

We stayed there after our ferry got canceled to Isle Royale during a storm. Outside of our experience on the island it was the highlight of our trip. We couldn’t have imagined a better option; the cabin was very cozy. There was a furnace and we stayed warm. And the views were breathtaking. We also appreciated the compost toilet and how clean it was. We would definitely come back!

Pictures don't do this place justice. Amazing view. The little gas heater did the job despite 30 degree weather. Loved the slow morning watching the sunrise. Would love to come back. No electricity or signal makes it a perfect getaway for a quiet retreat for reading and reflection. My wife and I had a great time.
