Laukvik is one of the places in Lofoten you can expirience the midnight sun. Delp and Gjersvoll, (a five minute drive away) are beautiful places for surfing, and surfers from all over the world come to sail on the waves here.
Due to a few feedback we will inform and emphasize that Laukvik is not venter for entertainment in general. The place is most faous for the possibilities of experiencing the midnight sun because its location is north-facing.
Therefore, it will be a detour if the purpose of the holiday is to drive Lofoten up and down. But if the goal is to experience the midnight sun and paradise, Laukvik is perfect and one of the few illuminated north-facing places to do it. The place is quiet and sometimes, if you really listen, you may not hear anything at all.
We have recieved feedback from guests that Laukvik is perfectly located in relation to having a base north of Lofoten and take day trips further south. And that they can anjoy the midnight sun in Laukvik at night.
We would like to inform our guests that there is no longer midnight sun in Laukvik from 20/7. If you want to experience the midnight sun, the best period to rent in Laukvik is beetween 28/5 - 20/7.

In Laukvik you have a grocery store within walking distance from the resort. (50 meters). There is also a cafè down in the harbour. There is only one grocery store in Laukvik, and it closes at 18:00 in the week, and 16:00 on saturdays. Sundays the grocery store is closed.
It is possible to rent a boat for fishing trips and proximity to fresh water. Wonderful hiking opportunities in woods and fields, as well as mountains peaks, (such as Matmora).
10 kilometers from Laukvik you can visit Sandsletta camping. Here you'll find a resturant and a kiosk that holds some basic groceries. THeir menu is fantastic and based on local commodities.
