Host very responsive and helpful when we reached out. The only working bathroom was upstairs and appeared to have an issue with the toilet, but host assured it would be looked into and all else worked fine. Great value especially with free parking, and incredibly convenient location for our plans in Oban.

Die Unterkunft ist eine Baustelle und wir durch den Besitzer in Eigenregie renoviert, was man dem Haus ansieht Die Arbeiten sind nicht wirklich professionell ausgeführt und Es war bei unserem Aufenthalt nur ein Bad im obersten Stock nutzbar… die Schlösser an den Türen sind nicht vertrauenswürdig. Andere Räume sind nicht in Gebrauch…

Das Zimmer an sich war ok, die Betten sauber. Die Gastgeberin freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Sanitäre Situation war wirklich unzumutbar. Das Badezimmer (gemeinschaftlich) konnte nicht ordentlich verschlossen werden, die Toilettenbrille war locker. Wir sind am nächsten morgen in der Früh wirklich geflüchtet aus dem Zimmer, damit wir eine öffentliche Toiletten nutzen können, denn aufgrund der maroden Toilettenspülung schwammen die Fäkalien der Gäste vor uns in der Toilette und es gab kein Wasser um die Situation angemessen zu beseitigen. Das war wirklich ekelig.

Pros: excellent location close to ferry terminal and shops/restaurants, large comfortable bed, large room, communicative host, good WiFi with instructions, hot shower. Cons: shared bathroom needs a lot of work. The latch on the door leaves nearly an inch of a gap so guests walking past can clearly see if you are using the toilet. The toilet is unstable and leaks frequently/a lot. The room/bathroom is not super clean - just average. The bedroom could use several cheap cozy touches that would make a big difference - bedside lamp, a small couch, blankets, arts on the walls, a small table…. Lots of cheap options. Overall, an average stay. We will most likely not return.
