Holy COW ... this is most likely the horniest house in Walthamstow! Built 1901, bombed in WW2 & rebuilt 1947. Now fully refurbished to beyond modern day standards. Bovinely decorated ... a mash between Edwardian splender & elegance, with a hint of contemporary & a full blast of quirk! A style palace with original artwork by Mary 'Shuffle-Bottom' Parkinson along with old and new fun 'toys' including a: record player; Oculus; Xbox & Driving Rig; PS5; Fairground Punch Ball; Air Hockey; & more! 01. Breakfast, Tea & Coffee, Snacks And Additional FARE There are complimentary cereals located in the Dining Room, along with biscuits, crisps and chocolate drink powder. Similarly located is a bottle of wine. On the display shelf in the same room is a 'DRINK ME' label only drink this if you like whisky?! The fridge also hold a small carton of long life milk along with 5-6 cans/bottles of beer and a bottle of white wine. There is complimentary tea and instant coffee in the kitchen cupboards along with Tassimo pods and coffee beans for your grinding. There is a popcorn machine in the Garage Bar & Games room with a jar of corn to pop. Should you require a Blade Keg or spirits for the optic dispenser please message. Ditto if you require additional popcorn. Also please message if you would like me to arrange a special occasion treat e.g. a balloon and a bottle of champagne. 02. WIFI The WIFI code is located in the Living Room on the side table adjacent to the Cow Lamp. 03. TVs and Remotes There are x 2 Hisense Smart 55" TVs. The Loft Virtual Games Room Remote is in a Remote Controller Holder located on a side table adjacent to a Roaring Lion Lamp. 04. Meta Oculus There is a Meta Oculus with Hand Controllers. This equipment is located in the Living Room. The associated cable are in a Grey Carry Case located in the Living Room hanging up next to the Record Player. Record Player and Vinyl Records There is a modern Record Player located in the Living Room along with EPs, LPs and Singles. These Vinyl Records span the 1940's to the early 1990's. There is a light above the Record Player, this is magnetic and can be taken off its holder to read the speed of the Record Player and the titles of the Vinyl Records. The Vinyl Records are located in the cabinet the Record Players sits upon and upon a shelf above the Record Player and a silver metal box under the cabinet. 06. Magnetic Lights There are x 2 rechargeable magnetic lights, 1 x in the Living Room as described above and the other is in the Kitchen. The Kitchen light is similarly removable and can assist you on dark nights navigating the Garden to the Garage Bar & Games Room. If the lights are not working please use the leads to recharge. 10. Living Room There are lots of refurbished Victorian refurbished Victorian and Edwardian pieces in this room together with a smattering of contemporary bits. Of note are the large pairs of Victorian Buffalo and Highland Cow Horns and the 2 x Edwardian comfy chairs with the antique foot stools covered in cow hide. A recently up-cycled tool chest dominates the room as a coffee table in which there are a number of board games for your enjoyment. Opposite the TV and horny wall is a double width ornate mirror under which is a 5 seater contemporary settee with matching cushions. 11. Dinning Room with Office Desk Generally nobody likes a big head ... there are always exceptions to the rule though, and in this case there are two nice ones in this room ... a cow and a gorilla ... the cow's head being a focal point, it being so large! A blackened fire place sits below the cow and to one side of the fire place is a fully restored striped and waxed bureau with display case displaying many 'nic nacs'. The bottom drawer has more board games to explore and play and besides the bureau are some oversized fantastical books to look at. The other side is an office desk for quiet working / studying, a 'Drink Me' decanter and the Guest Book which I hope you will fill in?! Opposite the desk is another great painting by Mary 'Shuffle-Bottom' Parkinson: a charging Spanish bull and below this is a comfy armchair and leather bull foot stool. A large dining table is folded down against one wall and supports your complimentary breakfast cereals along with biscuits, crisps and chocolate drink powder. There are two dining chairs in this room, the others if needed are located in the Pink Bedroom and the Garage Bar & Games Room Above the table is a mirror similar to that in the Living Room but smaller. Other wall adornments include some funny cow pictures and some serious ones along with 2 x archery horn trophies. 12. Kitchen There is a small galley kitchen with all the 'mod-cons' ... you have an oven and induction hob, an air fryer and microwave. There is a fridge freezer, washer/dryer and dishwasher ... and a double bin in one of the bottom cabinets. There is a kettle, tea pot, Tassimo coffee machine, a filter coffee machine and a cafetiere along with tea, coffee, Tassimo pods, coffee beans, coffee bean grinder and filters. There is also sugar, milk, salt, pepper, vinegar and oil along with other condiments in the fridge. There are place settings and cutlery with an abundance of cups and glasses, cook and cake ware including a pizza dish, knives, utensils and biscuit barrel (generally stocked). Washing up liquid and cloth are located on the window cill and dishwasher tablets and cloth washing powder / liquid and fabric softner are located under the kitchen sink along with 2 x tea towels. 13. WC & Bathroom There is a cat themed cloakroom WC on the ground floor under the stair with liquid hand soap or custom hard soap. The main Bathroom is on the first floor and is grand Victorian in design with cat paw towel hooks and a polar bear picture ... This room is small, but manages to house a bath/shower. Given its proportions, please ensure that you put down the shower mat so as not to slip when getting out of the bath/shower. Also, there is complimentary liquid hand soap and custom hard soap, along with gentle organic shampoo and conditioner. Bath bombs are located on a stool adjacent to the wc pan and bath/shower. 14. Hall & Landing There are Victorian cow horns, ornament artefacts, tobacco chests, cow and cat pictures and a little history of the house in this location along with two wonderfully large feline paintings by Mary 'Shuffle-Bottom' Parkinson. 15. Blue Bedroom Rather than a cow, this room is Bull orientated and themed on Greek Mythology and the so called 'Rape of Europa' ... it was the beauty of Europa that inspired the love of Zeus, who approached her in the form of a white bull and carried her away from Phoenicia to Crete. There she bore Zeus three sons: Minos, ruler of Crete; Rhadamanthys, ruler of the Cyclades Islands; and, according to some legends, Sarpedon, ruler of Lycia ... AND the colour blue, it being the dominate colours in the picture around the bedroom. There is a comfy chair, a chest of drawers and wardrobe along with a double bed with a 13.5 tog king size duvet. The mattress is Marlborough Sleepeezee (the World's largest selling pocketed bed) with 1200 Beautyrest Pocket Springs. These springs act independently to conform to body shape with a view to relieving pressure and preventing 'roll together' ... a mattress that is neither too firm or too soft. Your towels, throw away slippers and dressing gown robe are all located in the bedroom. 16. Pink Bedroom The decor was inspired by the pink lion and unicorn clock ... so the colour pink is in the frame along with cats, unicorns and our Queen. There are a couple of framed cat water colour book plates and a couple of photos of my Mum: this was her bedroom as a child and teenager. There are 3 chairs in this bedroom, 2 of which can be used for dinning chairs or poker if needs be ... similar to the Blue Bedroom there is a chest of drawers and wardrobe together with a double bed with a 13.5 tog duvet. The mattress is a Mayfair Radiant 1000 pocket spring with layers of luxury filling and can be regarded as cut above what is used in Premier Inn ... again similar to the mattress described above ... its neither too firm or too soft. Your towels, throw away slippers and dressing gown robe are all located in the bedroom. 17. Yellow Bedroom This is a small single bedroom and its decoration was inspired by my Mum's horse picture located on the bedroom's party wall; this image carries alot of yellow ... so the room got horse, yellow and gold as its themed! Other than my Mum's horse picture, there are a couple of old paintings of horses and a custom oil painting by Mary 'Shuffle-Bottom' Parkinson. Along with these pictures, there is a photo of my Uncle who as a child and teenager had this bedroom as his own. There is a small chair and table in this bedroom along with a corner wardrobe. You will notice a random Parakeet ornament on top of the wardrobe ... this is so located to bring the outside in, so to speak or squawk: there are an unusual amount of these birds flying about outside ... such birds could not have arrived here in Britain under there own steam and it is believed that they arrived in London in the mid-twentieth century when people had the birds as pets and released them into the city over fears of 'parrot fever' a more fanciful story is that they were escapees from the film set of The African Queen?! The bed is a single with a 13.5 tog duvet and the mattress is the same as the Pink Bedroom: a Mayfair Radiant 1000 pocket spring with layers of luxury filling and can be regarded as cut above what is used in Premier Inn ... its neither too firm or too soft. Your towels, throw away slippers and dressing gown robe are all located in the bedroom. 18. Loft Virtual Games Room The Loft Virtual Games Room can be accessed via the loft hatch using the L shaped metal loft 'key'. This is located on the landing. Accessing and using the loft is at your own risk. The loft ladder is step and the loft head height is awkward. The TV and gaming items are all described above. In addition to the TV and gaming items, there is a small safe located in this area together with instructions for setting the lock. 19. Garden There is a pretty back garden with a patio and path. The path leads you to the Garage Bar & Games Room, described below. Apart from the colourful plants and grass, the garden sports some wild life including a fox and a naughty grey squirrel that constantly digs up the bulbs! Often you will hear the squawking of the green parakeets and the rough noises of the Corvus. There are also 3 neighbouring cats who visit the garden and shade themselves under the apple tree. There is room on the patio for a table and chairs, BBQ and Rocket Chiminea. These items are stored in Garage Bar & Games Room and they are evident when you enter this room. The BBQ tools are located in the 'latte' coloured armoire RHS drawer (also located in the Garage Bar & Games Room) and the charcoal, wood, paper and lighter are stored in a basket in the same location beneath the dart board. 20. Garage Bar & Games Room This room maybe a little draughty and initially a little cold ... there are two oiled filled heaters and games a plenty that will keep you toasty in this space when all gets going ... There is a bar with saddle stools, a range of glasses for long drinks, beer, spirits and cocktails along with cocktail making paraphernalia. On the shelf behind the bar there is a Blade Beer Cooler, an Ice Machine, a Popcorn Making Machine and some cocktail books for inspiration?! A 6ft Air Hockey Machine sits in the middle of the room which can be switched on from the wall socket. The scoring element of the machine is battery operated so switches on separately. The paddle and pucks for the game are located on the table top of the Air Hockey Machine itself with spares at the bar. The Air Hockey Machine will need to be moved if you want to play poker on the poker table which is hanging up on the party wall ... both tables are heavy and will need two people to move both! The poker chips, chips block and cards are stored in the hide covered Lloyd-Loom blanket box as are a number of board games and boxing gloves. There is a cocktail table style pub PACMAN machine which has over 400 pub games on. This is switched on, on the plug socket on the wall and where the wire comes out of it under the machine. Hoping you like boxing??? A Boxing Training/Fitness Reflex Machine is mounted to the wall; instructions for its use are located adjacent to it ... you will need your phone and don't forget to put the boxing gloves on if you are going to use it! A much bigger machine is next to it ... a fairground PUNCH BALL by Kalkomat. Switch on at the wall and behind the machine and hit the top button to lower the ball ... games can be scrolled by using the button midway down the machine. Last but not lease is the electronic dart board with darts. Turn this machine on at the wall switch and set the play ... there are several sets of dart located at the bar. Happy playing :-) ... 21. Toilet Paper and Cleaning Items Additional Toilet Paper is located in the wooden wall mounted cabinets located in the downstairs WC and upstairs bathroom. Should you need cleaning materials other than those on the Kitchen window ledge, these are located under the Kitchen Sink. Similarly, the dust pan and brush are located here. The vacuum clearer, quick mop and traditional mop are located in the 'latte' coloured armoire located in the Garage Bar & Games Room. 22. Misc The Living Room and all the Bedrooms have multi connector Telephone Charging cables and there are a number of plug outlet sockets that also have USB sockets. Each bedroom has a digital alarm clock. If the battery has run low, there is a USB connector. Should you have forgotten any of your toiletries, there is a 'Forget Box' located in the bottom draw of the wardrobe in the Yellow bedroom, please help yourself. In the same wardrobe, but in the cloths hanging section there is a air conditioning fan. The ironing board and iron are located in the 'latte' coloured armoire located in the Garage Bar & Games Room. 23. First Aid Kit, Fire Blanket and Fire Extinguisher There are 2 x First Aid kits. One is located in the kitchen in the cupboard under the sink as is the Fire Blanket and Fire Extinguisher. The other First Aid Kit is located on the bottom shelf of the Bar in the Garage Bar & Games Room.

We found the place to be a very clean, the extra of the small games room was great for the teenagers, a few small issue but Jenni responded straight away. Few small items included which we never expected, milk, beer, wine, not to much, but enough if you just stepped off a train…. Many thanks, and the house is great, the kids loved the “ horney cow” lol

The name WALTHAMSTOW is likely derived from the Old English word ‘Wilcumestow’ which translates to ‘WELCOME PLACE’… still fitting words for this vibrant and diverse area in East London today! Not only has Walthamstow a fascinating history that dates back a thousand years, it is ‘current’ with lots to do and see along with its special LOCATION … it being so close to Epping Forest, the Seaside, Central London and easily accessible Transportation Links to the rest of the world!
In the Evening Standard article by Jack Renwick, he tells us why he favours Walthamstow and tells us it is current specifically it is … ‘Vibrant, Real & Interesting’ … here is an extract, but please search the WEB for the full story …
‘Why I live in Walthamstow: graphic designer Jack Renwick on the ‘real’ London area with indy appeal … Jack Renwick moved here 20 years ago and loves its vibrant mix of independent shops, cafes ... and £6 fry-ups.
I bought a two-bedroom apartment in Walthamstow in 2002 because it was cheap. I never wanted to live south of the river as psychologically it seemed too far from Glasgow, where I was born and raised. Living north of the river felt like home was closer.
What’s always been fascinating about Walthamstow is the mix of cultures that influence the variety of shops, cafés, coffee shops and bars.
About seven years ago, more independent shops opened, and it’s been like a gold rush to move here ever since …’
He goes onto describe eating and drinking, where he works out, where to commune with nature, where to grocery shop, where he goes for a culture fix, how he gets around, describes he dream street and concludes that it is a GREAT place to be!!!
Building on the above and Jack’s article, I cover LOTS TO DO AND SEE … in Waltham Forest under the following headings:
(A) Staple Food
(B) Great Places to Eat and Socialise
(C) Tap Rooms
(D) Pub, Bars and Other Drinking Places
(E) Attractions.
Please search the WEB on the information given for more detailed information. Please also search the WEB if you want Coffee Shops, a Bakeries, Patisseries or Greasy Spoons … there are so many good ones in Walthamstow it’s hard to choose!!!
A few words follow on Epping Forest and Southend on Sea our nearest seaside. I then give ONLY a list of some attractions as a starter for 10 in Central London: there is so ... So ... SO ... much to do and see there, so this is simply a pointer in the direction! And I finish with some basic information on Transportation Links. 自我介绍

Born & breed in Walthamstow I naturally love this area. 4 much of my working life, I worked fulltime in the construction industry & now touching my later years, continue to work in the construction industry but only parttime. Given that I have more leisure time, I have been able to indulge my design ideas & recently been able to restore my family home, where I have created a quirky place … I hope you like it & hope you become my GUEST.
