We had a wonderful stay here in Genoa! The rooms seem to have gotten an update because it was even better than in the pictures! The location is breathtaking and there is a beautiful path that you can walk to town. We traveled with an infant and a dog. We were able to request a rollaway bed for the baby and fee for the dog was $20 a day (resort charge). It was such a family friendly location with a cute little park for our dog and our little. The hot springs were an added plus. Like some reviews indicated, there is a door that separates the rooms and you can hear pretty clearly everything going on in the other room (specially with our baby 7:30 bedtime). It wasn’t a huge problem for us because we had respectful neighbors who were mindful of their noise. Genoa is only 20 min to Tahoe and 15 to Carson city so we loved the location! We loved it and will be back :)

Loved the place very beautiful super friendly staff very accommodating easy check in and check out the only thing I would suggest is that you bring mosquito repellent otherwise you will chance looking like you have the chicken pox every time you walk outside. Just making a suggestion to anyone else who’s like me unaware and naïve to just how different environments differ from what you may be used to. (The blame is mine on that one a little more research and I could have possibly come more prepared). If you want piece and quite this is the perfect place but you can also turn piece and quiet into to a busy more fast pace day there is a large shopping mall with much more things to do than I was even able to explore and that is a straight shot 20 minute drive to just that. And if you are a gambler don’t matter where in Nevada you are you will find a place to do just that I didn’t realize this so just a little fyi.

This is a Holiday Inn owned resort, so, the studios are just regular hotel rooms. The mosquitoes are very bad during the summer in general, and our balcony was so overrun with mosquitoes that we had to buy an area repellent to use the balcony. Aside from the bugs, everything was as described!

A great, clean place to stay with beautiful views, however beware of mosquitos which will catch any exposed areas you might have, including your forehead. It would be best to be clear on exactly what essentials are actually included with the kitchen as you may need to bring your own can opener, scissors, and sharp knife if you are planning to eat in at all. Also, bring earplugs as this is an adjoining room and if someone is in the other room you will hear everything they say. Therefore, they will hear everything you say. The light also shows through all around the door. If you book your stay Sunday to Sunday, instead of Saturday to Saturday, be prepared to get locked out on Saturday, as we did, as the hotel's computer systems can only acknowledge Saturday to Saturday. Otherwise, enjoy!
