Host was friendly but the property was not equipped as we had hoped. There was only 1 roll of toilet paper for two bathrooms for our 8 day stay. There was a coffee machine but it didn’t work. There was an almost empty bottle of dish detergent but no sponge to wash the very few dishes that were in the kitchen. The place was clean but the bed sheets smelled like moth balls. We were awoken early the first morning after arriving late at night, due to unfortunate events, by a maintenance worker who said the downstairs apartment had a leak that was coming from the unit we were in. Water got shut off and we were not able to shower until that night. I know this isn’t anyone’s fault but there were lots of noises in the early mornings coming from downstairs, which was annoying.

It is not helpful to claim successful check-in when clearly the unit was in such a terrible condition. Dirty dishes piled up in sink, lots of greasy mess in baking pans, greasy dirty stove top. The kitchen was unfit for use. Trash and cleaning supplies all over. Beds did not have proper bedding, there were stains as well. They claimed early check-in. Not true, she hanged up on me before giving me the lock code. So we waited in car until after 3pm to call in and get the code, where we walked into this mess. Then we waited about 2 hours, before we called back and told her we were going to get dinner and she was supposed to text me with a new unit (we requested ground floor unit) and lock code. No such text. Could not get a hold of her. Left several messages. No unit was provided Had to call Airbnb. Airbnb came through. They were very helpful and canceled the unit and gave us a 100% refund. We took photos and sent it to Airbnb as documented proof of the horrid condition.
