Highly recommend this house as a great base in the centre of the town of Athlone. The host was absolutely wonderful. Couldn’t be more accommodating. The touches to the house were really lovely with cushions and candles and Orla Kiely designer style. So homely and renovated to perfection with a lovely sun terrace at the back to sit out. So lovely to stroll out the front door and see the river Shannon on your doorstep. The host absolutely thinks of everything and she responded to our messages instantly with any queries we had. House was immaculate. A stroll up the street and onto the Main Street brought us to the heart of the shopping area with lovely pubs such as Gertie Brownes only a stones throw away for great food and atmosphere. The famous Sean’s bar is a short walk too. The kitchen is extremely well kitted out with every appliance, gadget and utensils equipment. Thank you for a lovely stay. We will be back again soon.
