Welcome to "Slow-Down Homestay" located in Tanote Bay, Koh Tao. My mum built this house 25 years ago and I used to grow up there. Finally, I came back to renovate it. Needless to say that this is a very dear place to me . Of course I am a bit biased on this one, but I hope you will also feel the same sense of happiness, peace and timelessness which makes this place so special to me. Come to my house on this wonderful island and slow down! The house is located in a very calm and laid back area of Koh Tao, in Tanote Bay. I really love it here as it combines a nice and large beach, with good opportunities for snorkeling and diving as well as cliff jumping from the famous rock in the center of the bay. The house is located a few hundred meters away from the sea up the hill and you can walk to the beach in just a few minutes. It is surrounded by a green garden and forest and offers a nice and peaceful view on to the sea. For an even better view, check out the rock on my property a bit further up the hill or the many viewpoints on the quite mountainous island.

Bis auf die Stechmücken die schwer zu vertreiben sind, war unser Aufenthalt im Haus von Kevin super schön. (An Mückenspray denken). Das Haus ist wunderbar eingerichtet. Die Betten sind bequem. Die Klimaanlage ist sehr leise. Alles im Badezimmer und in der Küche funktioniert sehr gut. Die große schattige Terrasse mit Blick aufs Meer und auf die Natur ist einfach klasse. Auch die Kommunikation mit Kevin lief sehr gut. Der Strand (Tanote Bay) ist in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen und es ist der schönste Schnorchel Ort auf der Insel. Am Strand sind auch mehr günstige Lokale wo man lecker essen kann. Dennoch ist es da viel ruhiger als auf der West Seite der Insel. Mit dem Roller oder Taxi ist man in 10 Minuten in der Stadt. Wir würden jederzeit bei Kevin wieder buchen.
Wir kommen gerne wieder. Extrem entspannte Atmosphäre. Ein Fahrzeug ist definitiv von Vorteil.

My father's house is located just about 30 meters down the road. He is quite well known in the Weed-scene in Thailand and is also growing some plants in his garden. So if you absolutely hate to see Marihuana plants, this homestay might not be for you! If you like Weed, you will love this place. Let me know or directly ask my dad/his people on site to try some flowers, oils and many more!
I highly recommend to rent a scooter. But be careful, and don't drive unnecessarily fast. I saw many accidents happen already and the holiday could be already over before it really begun... If you prefer to let professionals do the driving for you: there are also taxis and even motorbike taxis but way pricier compared to mainland fares and you are less flexible. I have put the contact of my taxi driver friend P'Vape at the house, I can recommend you his service, as you'll get better rates with him.. Some even walk around the island, although this option is more something for people in a good condition as the roads are quite steep sometimes.
