This 60 m² maisonette flat is spread over two floors and can accommodate 8 people. In the spacious living room there are 2 large folding beds, 2 comfortable sofa beds and 1 separate sleeping area. On the upper floor we offer 1 single room and 1 twin room. The bathroom has a bath, shower and washing machine. You can prepare your meals in the fully equipped eat-in kitchen. This cosy flat has been decorated by local artists. The Homeplanet Hostel is located in the heart of Connewitz, a lively neighbourhood in the south of Leipzig, 15 minutes from the main train station. We have single and double rooms as well as dormitories from 4 to 6 beds, and we also have a maisonette apartment that can accommodate 8 people. the hotel rooms are decorated by local artists, so no two are alike! The team speaks German and English. Our guests come from all over the world and meet in the well-equipped shared kitchen, in the beer garden or in the hostel café.

We booked for a night and it was as expected. While everything had that used look and feel, it was all clean and the mattresses were super comfortable.

Our hostel is located in the south of Leipzig, 15 minutes from the main railway station. The Connewitz district is known for its alternative cultural life with many concert halls and venues such as Conne Island, Werk II, UT Connewitz..., and street art can be found everywhere. The hostel is close to the Auwald forest, through which cycle paths and winding rivers run.
Leipzig's favourite swimming lakes, such as Cospudener See and Markleeberg See, are also within easy reach.
There is a great playground for children in the park in the neighbourhood, a 5-minute walk away. Also in the neighbourhood: Panometer and Völkerschlachtdenkmal.
Bornaischestraße, where the hostel is located, starts at the main intersection Connewitzer Kreuz. Free parking is available everywhere in the streets of the neighbourhood. The nearest tram stops are about 100 metres away and are called Stöckartstrasse and Hildebrandstrasse. From there you can reach the main railway station in 20 minutes. There is also a Connewitz S-Bahn station nearby for easy access to the Messe.
