Adorable wood cabin house that is a lot more quaint than the pictures suggest. There's board games, adorable 70s vibe decor all over, including unique wood furniture and even a hilarious electronic reclining lazy boy chair. The master bedroom has a comfortable king bed and the half-bath, which I prefer, b/c I'd hate for everyone else to have to come thru the bedroom to shower. The other bedrooms have a full bed, and two twins like the pictures suggest. They're small, but who cares? The rest of the house is very spacious. The kitchen has a ton of pots and pans, a coffee maker, microwave, and dishware. If you plan to cook a lot, bring your own spices (there's salt/pepper and a creepy/probably expired old spice rack), and maybe a bag of ice if you're into ice (their freezer comes with trays but no automatic ice maker). THERES ALSO A GRILL and outdoor seating! And a fire pit with a couple of Adironack chairs! Camp vibes :D We all really enjoyed using the kayak, Stand up paddle board, and canoe on the lake. These are on the front lawn. It was SO peaceful and beautiful. Also, totally swimmable but watch out for those pesky motor boats (there aren't that many). There are also friendly neighbors everywhere (Also read: Do not choose this place if you're looking for a party house). The houses are pretty close by and most are families that seem to live or vacation there a lot. #NeighborhoodWatch To get there, read the directions before you arrive (specifically about once you get off the main road) and also try to go during the day, b/c trying to figure out what they were talking about in the dark, while it was raining was less than fun. Also, the east side of Brant Lake is easier to drive than the west side regardless of their directions. The Lazy Moose Garden Market is near by (bottom of Brant Lake) where you can buy groceries/beer and anything else you forgot from home. There is a hen coop and bunny cage next to the parking lot, which is so cute :) We also went to a Tops grocery store a little further away for more groceries/beer and Adirondack Moonshine for alcohol ;) If you're on your way up to the house, this could be a good option to stop at before arriving. Pharoah Lake Wilderness Area is right by the house if you want to do a modest trail hike. We did the hike to the lake and back (6 miles-ish total) and it took less than 4 hours, going over a couple of cute foot bridges. Bring a snack for the lake! South Pharoah Lake parking is about 5 minutes away via Beaver Pond Rd (don't follow Google Maps instructions to go all the way around to the west entrance).
