Double bed Take it easy at this tranquil cottage. Set within the Oaks Woods, down a 50 metre driveway is a place you can really relax. Wildlife is a constant feature with birds, rabbits, squirrels and even the occasional deer. Yet at the end of the driveway are bus stops with frequent services into Cambridge, St Neots and Huntingdon. Cambourne town centre is just 600m away with large supermarket, pub, restaurant, coffeeshop and takeaways. This self-catering, comfortable cottage has all you need. Near to the historical city of Cambridge, The Acorn is a fine country cottage in Lower Cambourne that provides an ideal getaway for couples. Ground floor. Open plan living space. Living area: With 30" Freeview TV and DVD player. Dining area. Kitchen area: With electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, washer/dryer and tiled floor. Bathroom on ground floor: With shower over bath, and toilet. First floor. Bedroom: With double bed. Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot. Lawned garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Parking for 1 car. No smoking.

We were so lucky to find The Acorn for our between home situation. It is so cosy and warm even for a colder month and we loved watching the woods greening up day by day for spring. There are nice walks, a good grocery and bus stop for Cambridge and other small cities, which made our long stay more pleasant and comfy. Though we had everything for our stay but I believe Helen and Lionel would be willing to help if we needed anything for our stay. We were little sad to leave the Acorn especially we can only assume The Acorn would be much more beautiful for warmer months. Hope we can be there again for shorter stay soon. We liked it so much we came back again :)) It’s easy to get into Cambridge here, there is a bus stop at the bottom of the driveway Secluded enough to feel like on holiday but close enough to shops and transport Very quiet and cozy. Thanks Helen and Lionel 🙏
Hi everyone, I just want to share with you our experience staying at this place. It’s located near a nice little forrest, in a nicely secluded place, feeling properly like a holiday retreat. It is a separate house 🏡, very welcoming, part of that thanks to the wonderful thinking and efforts of the hosts: we found inside nice little treats, that make you smile right from the start, like sweets, milk in the fridge, sugar. I knew it from the start these people are amazing and going out of their way to make our stay feel as pleasant as possible, which they’ve never failed to do so. Bedsheets and towels were done for us spotless and right on time every single week. But let me tell you a few more things about the place, because I could go on forever telling you how amazing the owners are. It is quite spacious, it has pretty much anything you need in the kitchen and bathroom and it keeps really warm. I hope you will enjoy your stay like we did, many thanks for reading! 😊

The Acorn is set in a delightfully quiet woodland area, yet close to all amenities. The bus stop at the bottom of the driveway is a huge plus as it means easy access into Cambridge without the worry of parking your car.
We have lived here for 20 years and still cannot believe how lucky we are. The mix of nature and quiet space along with easy accessibility to Cambridge and local pubs and restaurants makes the experience.
Car transport is very easy. Trains to Cambridge or St Neots then a bus ride to The Acorn is also quite simple.
The buses are currently 4, 18, X3 and X2 from Cambridge.
18 bus from St Neots.
X2 and X3 from Huntingdon.
