A cute cabin that is nestled in the woods yet only 10 minutes to town! Are you looking for a peaceful setting to unwind or explore a new area? This quaint cabin is nestled in the woods and next to a creek on 16 acres. The front porch is large and hosts two rocking chairs and bench to enjoy the scenery. Inside, the eat-in kitchen seats 6 and is open to the living room with vaulted ceilings. One bedroom is on the main floor, with two twin beds. The upstairs is a loft area with a queen bed. The bathroom is located on the main floor, off the kitchen. There is a patio with outdoor dining table and chairs. About 1 mile down the road is Salt Springs State Park with 14+ trails to hike and explore. The kitchen is fully stocked to prepare meals or bake. A coffee bar offers a variety of brew methods. While there is no dishwasher, there are some disposable plates/utensils provided and al the necessary tools needed. A propane BBQ grill is available on the deck or can be wheeled to patio area. The fire pit is located directly next to the creek which is a short walk from the cabin. You can see and hear the creek from the front porch. There are ample views for star gazing. There is a corn hole set to use in the yard as well as a hammock.

The cabin was so cozy and had everything you can possibly need. The area was so quiet and very remote. The creek across the street was perfect next to the fire pit as well! Courtney and Nate were super sweet hosts and extremely responsive!
Courtney’s home was immaculate, peaceful, beautiful and serene. There were plenty for us to do as a family of four with young kids and a dog. The kitchen was amazing and perfect to cook delicious meals. But if you wanted to eat out, there are cute little recommended places in town. The area is so serene and if it were warmer, we loved that we could have splashed about in the creek in the hot weather. We were there when it was still a bit chilly but my kids had enough fun playing by the creek. Hosts were great at communicating and very easy-going. Would definitely stay here again. Very cute little cottage in the woods. Includes everything you could need for a remote getaway. I wish we could have stayed longer to use more of the amenities! Definitely recommend the Gorge Trail at Salt Springs park to see the waterfalls up close, and go outside at night to see the stars!
I made a mistake booking this location for a month long work trip for one of our technicians. I had never booked on Airbnb before and we, as a company, had some problems with other locations in the past. Courtney was so helpful and friendly and made booking a breeze! When it turned out we could not use this booking, she did everything she could to help me take the steps through Airbnb to get a refund and cancel the booking. This really saved me with my boss!! We had a great time. it was very comfortable and we really enjoyed the creek and the park access.

This is a peaceful, low traffic area. The road is unpaved but cars/vans have no issue getting to the cabin. There are only a few other houses on the road. You'll be surrounded by trees and yet only 10 minutes to town. Montrose offers a variety of charming restaurants, shops, local eats/drinks/bites, antiques, gift shops and more. Elk Mountain would be about 50 min away. Vestal, NY is 20 min away.
Being a rural area, a car is the easiest and most practical way to get around.
