How do I even start ... this place is incredible. Can't believe someone is lucky enough to live here, and Gregory and Jane have have had the place for over 30 years. Its a dream property. The ocean views and landscapes are national park level. They allow / encourage full access of the property, and we spent most time sitting at the chairs and picnic table atop the ocean cliffs just taking everything in, and exploring the beach access and tide pools. Orcas. I guess they are just considered neighbors. They were within a stones throw of the rocky shores; they just hung about and flip flopped around. Have never seen orcas in the wild, and this was spectacular. We could see and hear them from the suite! Little harbor porpoises were prevalent, seals (sea lions?) lounging in the kelp forests, gulls, eagles, huge herons, deer munching the yard, and actively managed bee hives right beside the place (he's a beekeeper!). San Juan Island is beautiful. We'll be back, and will stay here if we can.

one of the best guest houses you will find. it's beautiful, clean and cozy. the best is the view the place offers. you can see the whales, ocean and mountain view from the window. we had the best time star gazing and whale watching. would definitely come back again.

This is a beautiful place on the edge of the island. The view is outstanding and the two chairs at the shore are awesome. We spent a lot of time in them. The cottage itself is very nice. The bed is comfortable. There is one semi-comfortable chair, a not-so-comfortable futon, and a table with two chairs. There is a Keurig coffee maker and an electric kettle. There is a small fridge on the floor which makes it hard to get into. It doesn't hold much which complicates things if you don't want to eat out all the time. So - if you want a place that you can bring enough food and just relax, or work.. bringing a cooler of supplies/food is probably best option -otherwise running into town regularly is necessary. We found the list of rules and reminders of how expensive things are to be kind of oppressive and unfriendly. In general, however, the place is fine.

The perfect place to getaway, reset, and relax. Greg and Jane have a picnic table/chairs right on the water’s edge, and nothing beats morning coffee and reading with that view. It simply took my breath away. Their place is also just a quick, 12 minute drive to the center of Friday Harbor, where you can find coffee shops, restaurants, etc. , and a 5-minute drive to Lime Kiln State Park (highly recommend!). We’re so glad we ultimately chose not to stay in the hustle & bustle of downtown Friday Harbor and instead stayed at this beautiful, serene oasis right on the water. My only complaint is I wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you, Greg & Jane, for opening your amazing home to us!
