This experience felt very impersonal, contrary to what airbnb should be. When calling the host I am often met with a different person each call. On my first night, AFTER I arrived for check in I was told (over the phone, as no-one was there) the place was not ready for me yet. As such, I was understanding and let the host know that I would be happy to go find somewhere else to stay for the first night, as long as they altered the booking so I do not pay for the night I do not stay at the place (Sounds reasonable to me). After agreeing to this, the host then kept postponing when I asked them when they will actually change the dates so I do not pay for this night. Finally before the end of my stay I asked to cut my stay short. After getting a hold of the host (one of them) I was told that as a condition of them allowing the cut, they will have me pay for the night I did not stay at the beginning (which was THEIR fault). Appalling. I would recommend staying someplace else.
