Ascend the free-floating spiral staircase to arrive at the 2nd floor master bedroom. Originally George and Ann Starrett's bedroom, it retains the feel of high Victorian charm and tranquility. Relax in the elegant king sleigh-bed & enjoy the private bathroom with shower. Soak in the hues of burgundy, gold, and cream while enjoying sunset, water, and mountain views from the 7 large windows. A perfect space for those who prefer a little more privacy, it shares no interior walls with other rooms. Each room in the Victorian Starrett House is located on the second floor of the house and includes it's own private bathroom. Please note that you do need to be able to climb stairs to access the rooms. The Sitting Room and dining room are located on the ground floor and are shared with other guests. For the musically inclined, we offer a piano for your enjoyment in the Sitting Room. 24/7 coffee and tea service is available in the Dining Room. Complimentary Wi-Fi is included throughout the home.

We enjoyed our stay in this historic home. Beautiful room and very comfortable bed and sitting areas . Nice hot breakfast provided. Just a short walk into the heart of down town. Enjoyed a fantastic dinner at the Fountain Cafe!
Kimberly’s place is a gem. A terrific homage to a historic home that is romantic and full of charm. A lovely stroll down the hill and in minutes you’re in the middle of Port Townsends adorable bustle. Looking forward to our next stay here.
We loved staying in this incredible historic house. Emileigh greeted us at the door (ask about the unusual staircase and its Smithsonian story) and responded to our texts quickly and kindly throughout our stay. The public rooms and our guest room were comfortable, spacious, and pretty. Please note that it is not wheelchair accessible, but if that is not an issue for you, we recommend the place highly.
If you are considering a stay here, note that the proceeds go towards a local nonprofit that aids housing-insecure people in the area. The Starrett Mansion is absolutely gorgeous and in pristine restored condition. The period furnishings felt so comfortable and welcoming, which is a rare delight as many period stays can feel a bit museum-like, posed, stuffy. But the caretakers of this work of Victorian art have done a fine and tasteful job highlighting the Starrett Mansion's beauties and comforts. After all, it was built as a family home, and now retains this balance of comfort and uncommon beauty for its visitors. Emileigh, the innkeeper, clearly loves the house and has a sensitive understanding of its charms. It was another delight to converse with her, and to be able to appreciate the mansion with heightened sensitivity through her eyes. Breakfast was delicious and hot; the whole grounds are immaculately clean!
We had a great stay, this is a wonderful house full of history close to downtown. Our host, Emily was amazing. She was there for check-in and everything we needed. She made a wonderful breakfast for us everyday. She also made cookies in the afternoon. She gave us a tour of the house and local recommendations. I highly recommend this place!!
