My second stay, really a very comfortable house with literally everything you need! I especially love the furnishings, books and amply supplied kitchen! Clean, clean, clean. Very comfortable especially for a longer stay. Cid’s Market is a 5 minute walk and there are a number of restaurants nearby. For a gorgeous drive take Upper Ranchitos and tour the Taos Greenbelt. Amy’s house is a gem 😊
Amy house is really beautiful. It is in fantastic condition and has obviously been well taken care of. There are so many positive things to say but what stood out to me was the lovely vintage furnishings, all the books; especially the ones about Taos and New Mexico. It is just a lovely home and I certainly plan to stay again.
This was the perfect spot for a much needed staycation. Amy is a friend of a friend and I'm so glad she was able to offer us this place to decompress. We wanted to be able to stay in and cook most meals, and the kitchen was very well appointed - much nicer than you'd expect in a rental, and also nice that we could walk right over to Cids for grocery shopping.
Great place and location. Amy is a fantastic host and was super helpful with anything we needed. Highly recommend!
Artfully & thoughtfully decorated/stocked! Beautiful, private, quiet, adobe home a quick drive to downtown. We loved the SW-Scandi decor & vibe! Has a fully outfitted kitchen--made eating in easy. Amy was a great host! Very proactive, responsive, friendly, & helpful. Went here with a gf for a girls' weekend, & we each had our own bedrooms/baths on opposite ends of the house. I could easily see this being a great spot for a family with young kids, since there's also a really cute play room/office. Comfy foam bed in large BR. The fenced yard with fireplace is also a bonus. I had my little dog with me, & the fenced yard was great for him. Only a couple of drawbacks that kept it from being a 5-star for us: The smaller bed, which I slept on, was a bit springy & hard. One tub didn't have any shower curtains; the other tub only had long curtain liners which bunched up in the tub & would drip water onto floor. Told Amy about these & I'm sure she'll address them. :) Overall, a great getaway!!

Rio Pueblo is situated within walking distance of some of the best food in Taos. Love Apple, which consistently wins the Best of Taos award; CIDS food market, a gourmet, organic local grocery store; Gutiz, a favorite breakfast and lunch cafe, Aly's a La Carte, the best drive through and top notch bistro in town, and the Guadalajara Grill. local Tasoeno's favorite Mexican joint are all within a couple hundred yards of the home. The down town plaza is mere minutes away, but the house is on the north end so an easy, no traffic drive to the Old Blinking Light where you turn to get to the Ski Valley or Gorge Bridge.
Walk to best food in town - and the plaza if you're feeling energetic - or hop in the car to get around town. Uber and Lift are kind of a thing in Taos, but not to be counted on.
