What a lovely cabin in peaceful surroundings.. Duane’s cabin was just perfect for us for a night stay . Duane was a thorough gentleman and we really enjoyed our conversation with him . He was kind enough to let us check out late . We would love to visit again. The place was very clean and had all the amenities to make a stay comfortable.

My wife and I stayed at this beautiful cabin for a short 2 day getaway from Calgary. We enjoyed peace and quiet in the serene nature surrounding the cabin. We got to explore a bit of the area and the city nearby as well. Everything was great. The cabin itself felt like a second home, and it has a great backstory as well that Duane filled me in on during our short conversation where he checked to make sure everything was alright, leaving me a little dumbfounded on the expanseful history of the cabin itself, as well as his own ties to the area and more! We will surely be returning at some point, God willing!

Duane and his lovely property were both absolute gems! This beautiful property has amazing views, was so peaceful, had lots of places to walk,/ hike and is a very convenient 8 min drive from Golden. The accommodations were lovely and cozy with all the comforts of home! Well stocked kitchen, easy parking, and comfortable beds! Duane was hands down the best host we have ever had, he is a wealth of information and has so much knowledge of the history of Golden! He was available on the spot when we needed anything and if you are lucky enough to be invited over for a cup a tea I highly suggest you go, you will not regret it! Thank you for a lovely stay Duane, we will definitely be back!
