The accommodation is a bedroom with your own private bathroom (across a landing) on the second floor of a modern townhouse in a quiet location in East Oxford. 10 minutes by bus to the city centre. Unrestricted wifi, a small fridge, microwave, kettle, fresh milk and a selection of hot drinks are provided. Please note: breakfast is not provided and use of the kitchen is not included so this accommodation is not always appropriate for longer stays. Offstreet parking (one car) is available. Hopefully the photos give you a good idea of the room, the layout and facilities. The room is on the second floor, so guests need to be able to walk up two flights of stairs. There is a small, friendly Cocker Spaniel who also lives in the house. She does not jump up or lick or bark! We ask all our guests to make sure she is not let out of the front door. We do ask guests to remove their street shoes in the hallway and leave them there. This makes for a cleaner house throughout. The house is fully carpeted and comfortable underfoot once you are not wearing shoes.

Jonathan’s place was lovely and quiet. Had the amenities you needed—spoon, forks, silverware, fridge, and a microwave. The bathroom was very clean and I didn’t have to share it with anyone else. Jonathan was also very helpful and responsive. I highly recommend his place!
I felt very welcome at Jonathan's place. It was clean, private, modern, and extremely convenient—just a short walk from my family's residence in Rose Hill. Iffley is a beautiful part of Oxford and there are good cafés and pubs on Iffley Road (all walkable from Jonathan's place), including one of my very favorite pubs in Oxford. This was one of the easiest of my stays in Oxford airbnbs and great for the money. PS: I also had a few really interesting and friendly conversations with Jonathan (initiated by me) because, as academics, we have some things in common. It was interesting and an enjoyable bonus for my altogether pleasant stay.
I appreciate Jonathan's and his dog's warm welcome. It was an excellent stay for my research, even without a kitchen, as the supermarkets in England sell a variety of prepared meals. It was convenient for those visiting the Harwell Campus, like me, that the bus stop for ST1 was close enough. Jonathan kindly cleaned my room and clothes every week for me.
My stay at Jonathan's place was truly delightful! The home exuded warmth, and Jonathan was not only friendly but also incredibly helpful and flexible. The comfy bed and spotlessly clean surroundings were wonderful, and the inviting aroma of freshly baked bread permeating the air made it feel just like home. Highly recommended for a pleasant and hassle-free stay.

We are on the edge of Iffley Village with its renowned 12th century church.
A walk through the village, over Iffley Lock and back via the Thames towpath and the Isis Farmhouse pub is a lovely thing to do in the evening or at the weekend.
The nearest small supermarket is about 8 minutes away by foot in Rose Hill, where various take-aways can also be found. There are 2 pubs/hotels that serve food in Iffley Village itself.
The house is 3 minutes from a bus stop. Buses from here will take you into the city centre in about 10 minutes. You can also walk into the city centre along the Thames (approx 30 minutes).
If arriving at the station or by bus and have luggage, you are best off calling a taxi (e.g. Royal Cars). When arriving by bus or coach from London or Heathrow, get off at the St Clement's Stop and either call a taxi or walk (approx 20 minutes)
By car or taxi we are 5 minutes from the Ring Road, about 7-8 minutes from BMW and about 12 minutes from the JR Hospital.
