In our opinion, this house was not great for small kids and their guest policy was unexpectedly restrictive. Tall grass and uncleared brush outside had me a little worried about wildlife (spiders, snakes, etc) so we didn't let the kids play outside. The plumbing was very fragile. It would be fine for adults who want to stay in a remote location near the river but it wasn't great for our intended purposes. We ended up leaving early.

Loved the location. Deer are everywhere be mindful when you drive at night. Is quiet and peaceful at night. Short 8 minute drive to main square Wimberley. The street toward lodge is narrow, drive cautiously. Place needs a updating. The toilet had a rusted tank so it flushed orange water. The door knob to the bathroom door fell off as i was closing the door. I hope you can fix that before the next guest. The floor was not cleaned well, it was dusty in some parts. It made me wonder about the rest of the house. Fairly clean. They did not have a toaster or blender for smoothies.

This home was very quiet and peaceful, clean and spacious. Felt just like home away from home. Definitely mixed in with all nature has to offer. HCPL was very quick to help us with any concerns and friendly throughout the entire process!
