Welcome to Whispering Pines, a lakefront oasis! Nestled along the East side of Owasco lake, you will find a perfect family getaway. The cottage boasts 69 feet of lakefront and is newly renovated to provide all the luxuries of being at home. We provide 3 kayaks, 3 paddleboards, 7x7 ft floating dock, & canoe on site. There are 2 bedrooms (1 Master with king size bed, 1 bedroom with bunkbeds) + loft (with 2 twin beds), a full kitchen, full bathroom, washer and dryer, & second outside shower. Location: Our property boasts a prime location right on the shores of Owasco Lake. Wake up to breathtaking water views and the soothing sounds of nature. You’ll have direct access to the lake to paddle, swim, or sunbathe on the dock. Water activities: We provide complimentary use of paddleboards, kayaks, floating dock, lily pad, life vests, fishing poles, and a canoe for your enjoyment. Glide across the crystal-clear waters or try your hand at fishing. It’s all at your doorstep. You can rent a boat at Owasco Marine and use our boat hoist. Comfortable Living: Inside you will find the first bedroom with a very comfortable King size bed. The second bedroom has twin sized bunk beds and a small desk. Our spacious living area features a streaming TV, Washer/dryer/dishwasher are all available for your use in the cottage. Also downstairs, is 1 full bathroom and an additional outdoor shower. The upstairs loft sleeping area has two twin beds. The living room is equipped with a Roku TV set for guest access (for privacy), so you can log into your favorite streaming channels with your personal passwords. You will select your departure date when logging in for the first time, and the Roku TV will automatically log you off after your checkout time. There are board games for all ages, located in the living room. The kitchen is well-equipped with a standard stove, fridge, and dishwasher. Small appliances include an Instapot, air fryer/toaster oven, cooking spices/oil, and basic cooking utensils and supplies. We have both a standard coffee maker and a Keurig, so you can bring your favorite grounds or K cups if you have a preference. The back patio has a picnic table for dining and patio furniture for lounging. The propane grill is located on the side of the house. The bathroom has a shower stall (not a tub) with rain shower. We will provide clean towels, sheets, and beach towels. There is a washer and dryer on premises if you need to launder bath towels mid-way through your stay or want to do a load of clothes. There is a fire pit on the beach and multiple chairs available so you can enjoy a small outdoor fire on the lake. Firewood is located on the shoreline. Additional chairs located in the storage closet on the shore. Scenic Views: Whether you're indoors or outdoors, you’ll be treated to picturesque lake views from every vantage point. It’s a photographers paradise! Local Exploration: While our property offers a peaceful retreat, you’re not far from attractions. Hiking trails and a swimming hole can be found nearby at Filmore Glen state park. You are also not far from charming towns like Skaneateles, or Watkins Glen. We'll provide you with insider tips on the best spots to explore in the area.
